Meet Recap + Registration Now Open for Upcoming Meets
Hey BASS Families,
We’re excited to share that our first meet of the season in Lynchburg was a great success! Congratulations to all of our athletes who competed last weekend! Meet results from last weekend are attached HERE for your review.
Next Meet Registration Is Now Open!
Registration is now open at fluvannaswimming.org for our next meet which features a special IMR/IMX format and is open to swimmers ages 9 and older. The meet will be held in Williamsburg from October 10-12.
This is part of USA Swimming’s national challenge series designed to help swimmers grow into more well-rounded athletes. I’m really looking forward to seeing how everyone rises to the challenge of this different meet format!
Important: Swimmers must register for all events in their IMR or IMX lineup based on age. Partial entries will not be accepted by the host team.
Additional/Alternative Meet
If your swimmer isn’t quite ready or is not old enough for the IMR/IMX format, that’s totally okay!
We’ve added an additional meet to the schedule (Oct 24-26) in Richmond that’s open to all ages and uses the traditional format where swimmers can pick and choose their own events. Registration for this meet is also available on our website.
Swimmers are welcome and encouraged to attend both meets if their schedules allow but participating in just one is perfectly fine too. Choose what works best for your swimmer and your family.

Since it’s still early in the season, I recommend swimmers choose the IMR format unless I’ve specifically discussed IMX with you and your athlete. IMR is an excellent developmental step that builds a strong foundation for future success.
