Happy Thanksgiving & Important Meet Updates

Hey BASS Families,

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you all enjoy a wonderful holiday with family and friends. I want to take a moment to say how thankful I am to have such an incredible group of athletes and families to work with every day. Your support, dedication, and positive energy make our program special, and I am grateful for each of you!

Attached HERE, you will find the results from our recent meet, the BASS Turkey Classic. Congratulations to all of our swimmers who competed! It was great to see such strong attendance and I loved watching everyone race hard, support each other, and have fun throughout the weekend!

Looking ahead, details for our next meet are available on our website fluvannaswimming.org. Although attendance is optional, I hope to see many of our athletes in attendance. This is our mid-season championship meet and is a great opportunity for our swimmers to go out and swim FAST! It will again be held at the Richmond pool we visited for our last meet, the 2008 Olympic Trials pool, one of the fastest pools in Virginia.

Meet Info:

  • Entries are due December 1st.
  • Dates: Dec 11-14 (you can choose to attend as many or as few of the days as you want)
  • Location: SwimRVA 5050 Ridgedale Parkway Richmond, VA
  • It will run as a prelim/final format for swimmers ages 9 & older
  • 9–10, 11–12, and 13–14 swimmers: Top 16 from preliminary session will advance to an evening finals session
  • 15 & Over swimmers: Top 24 from prelims will advance to finals
