Daughters of Royalty Drill & Dance Ensemble

Daughters of Royalty Drill & Dance Ensemble was formed in June 2011 by Sherieka Trotter, and is co-sponsored by the City of Seattle and Seattle Parks and Recreation, Handtastic Massage LLC, and Rainier Health & Fitness. The program allows youth and their families a positive way to grow and interact with their community through performing, mentoring, and community service. Performances consist of high energy jazz/hip hop dance, college style step, and acrobatics. Royalty esteems to provide youth with the opportunity to develop physically and mentally as they work together as a team, keeping sight of their mission to demonstrate excellence in the areas of performing arts.
Members who participate come from different schools, backgrounds, families, andmore, together form the “Royal Family” and range in age from 4-18 years old. The groups objectives are to participate in a combination of 15-25 community event, show cases, productions and competitions a year, this will allow participants to share their leadership skills , encourage public speaking, entertainment skills, increase their social and historical knowledge and understanding.
