Colman Pool and Summer Schedule
Colman Pool
A few notes regarding Colman:
- Bring your equipment (fins, water bottles, etc.)
- Dress warm. It is usually 10 degrees cooler down on the water, and it can be windy on the point where the pool sits
- Be sure to check the weather report ahead of time
- Remember that it takes about 10 minutes or so to walk to the pool from the parking lot
- The pool is half salt water and half fresh water with some chlorine mixed in. It tastes weird.
- Make sure you have extra goggles, cap, etc.
- Be prepared with Sunscreen. It's much harder to swim with a sunburn.
Summer Schedule
We have posted the summer schedule on the website. You can find it here:

For Silver I and II : if you are unable to make the Colman practice on those nights we will have a practice at the Redmond pool on Friday from 6:00-7:30pm for both groups. There will not be a Silver practice at Juanita those nights.
Gold, Senior, and HP: will only have the Colman practice available those three Friday nights.
8 & Under and Bronze groups : normal Friday night schedule, no changes.
Colman Pool is an outdoor 50 meter pool that sits on the sound (you can throw a rock into the ocean from the pool) in Lincoln Park, West Seattle. You can find directions on our Pools page:
Colman Pool is our only option when it comes to getting long course training time in. It makes a big difference to get that long course time in so we highly encourage everyone to try and make it.
