Wave Swimmer’s Put on a Show at the High School State Championship Meet

The 2012-2013 boys high school season came to a close last weekend with the Boys High School State Championship Meets (2A, 3A and 4A). Wave had swimmers at all three meets posting best times and making an impact on the meet.

Grant Neil had an amazing meet winning the 50 free in 21.13 and finishing second in the 100 fly in 50.39. Both swims were All American Consideration times.

Seth Birrell, Mateusz Merchel, Maxwell Peterson, and Nick Reeves all made the top 8 at their respective meet in an individual event.

Fisher Munro, John McDonagh and Jason Sukigara all had amazing races and posted best times in their individual events.

Gunner Burn 23rd as part of a 200 Medley Relay team, 7th as part of a 200 Free Relay team, 14th as part of a 400 Free Relay team

Ryan Caraway 22nd as part of a 200 Free Relay team

Kyle Grichel 10th as part of a 200 Free Relay team, 23rd in the 100 back

John McDonagh 12th 100 breast, 22nd as part of a 400 Free Relay team

Mateusz Merchel 5th as part of a 200 Medley Relay team, 10th 200 IM, 6th 100 back, 12th as part of a 400 Free Relay team

Fisher Munro 20th 200 IM, 21st 500 free, 11th as part of a 200 Free Relay team

Grant Neil 1st 50 free and an All American Consideration time, 2nd 100 fly and an All American Consideration time, 5th as part of a 200 Free Relay team, 5th as part of a 400 Free Relay team

Maxwell Peterson 6th in the 50 free, 10th as part of a 200 Free Relay team

Nick Reeves 7th as part of a 200 Medley Relay team, 21st in the 100 free, 7th in the 100 breast, 12th as part of a 400 free relay team

Jason Sukigara 23rd as part of a 200 Medley Relay team, 13th in the 100 breast
