No Practice Monday, November 4 & Team Equipment

Hello Wave Families,

2 important items to make you aware of:

1. There will be no practice today, Monday, November 4 for all groups due to our staff meeting. We try to do these about once a month.

2. Team Equipment Update:

· Those families that placed an order for suits, bags, sweats, etc. with Sylvia’s should have your equipment by November 13 at the latest.

· After November 13, you will not be allowed to compete in swim meets without the proper team uniform. This is not a negotiable policy; it is part of being a member of a team.

· If you failed to place an order earlier this year, send Coach Erin an email. He has a few Wave suits for sale, and if there are enough swimmers who need suits we can set up another order through Sylvia’s.

Parents,

I’ve received some questions regarding what gear swimmers need to have for practices and meets. I hope the information below helps to clarify this for you.

From Wave you receive:

· Parent T-shirts (max of 2 per family)

· Swimmer T-shirts (each swimmer receives 1 black, 1 white, 1 purple shirt)

· Swim Cap (each swimmer receives either 1 silicone or 2 latex)

· Water Bottle (1 per swimmer)

From Sylvia’s Swimwearyou can order fins, paddles, team suits, personalized team caps, bags, etc.

Note: Because the delivery date on the Sylvia’s Swimwear order isn’t until November 13, swimmers are not required to have all of the needed items below until after that date.

What your group needs at practice:

· Fins (Challenge and above)

· Paddles (Excel and above)

· Kick Board (available at pools)

· Buoy (available at pools)

· Team Cap (encouraged for those who wear caps)

· Team Suit (encouraged)

· Yoga Mat (recommended for Redmond practices)

· Goggles
