Boys High School Season Recap

Senior 1

The Senior 1 group had 9 swimmers compete for their high school teams during the postseason. For many of them this was a great opportunity to race and compete against others we don’t see all that often. The boys took the meets very seriously and the results speak for themselves. We had several best times and many of them qualified for finals. It was awesome to see them put up such fast times, I am excited to see what they can accomplish as we move forward with the season.

  • Nik Brusilovski is a freshman at Woodinville. He had an awesome post season, qualifying for all three meets in individual events. He made waves at Districts, dropping a huge swim in the 500 Free and breaking 5:00 for the first time. He followed that up with a strong showing at State as the only freshman to make finals in the 500 Free.
  • Rik Brusilovski is a freshman at Woodinville. He had solid swims across the board at all three meets. He turned in some great swims at KingCo blasting his way to a 2-second drop in the 200 IM. Rik also made his team's state roster and helped his 200 Free Relay to a 12th place finish.
  • Daniel Cho represents Redmond High School. He trained well all season and earned himself a trip to KingCo. At the meet he swam very well, going a best time in the 200 IM and hitting right at his best in the 100 Breast.
  • Ethan Na is a freshman at Inglemoor. He proved himself to be very valuable as one of the fastest swimmers on his time right out the gate. He competed at both KingCo and Districts swimming strong at both meets and making finals both weekends. He turned in new best times in all his races: 50 Free, 100 Free, 100 Fly, and 200 IM.
  • Kyle Li is part of the Eastlake wolf pack. He had a strong season qualifying for KingCo and Districts. He swam well at both meets going right at his best time in the 50 Free and 500 Free at KingCo then put up great swims in the 200 Free and 500 Free at Districts.
  • Sonny Nguyen swims for Lake Washington. He competed at both KingCo and Districts. He proved to be a valuable member of his team as he achieved some new best times and qualified for finals in one race. He turned in some awesome 200 IM swims, going best times at both meets. On top of that, he was right at his best times in his other events.
  • Joseph Nguyen competes for Redmond. He had a solid post season qualifying for KingCo and Districts. He was battling some illness over the course of the meets but did not let that stop him from making the most out of his opportunities. He was right on his best time in the 100 Fly at both meets, putting himself closer and closer to breaking the 1:00 mark for the first time.
  • Neil Rawal is a freshman at Eastlake. He put together a strong first season qualifying for KingCo. At the meet, he tore it up, blasting his way to new best times in the 100 Free and 100 Breast. He is eager to continue to ride this success into our upcoming meets.
  • Dylan Vu is a freshman at Redmond. He competed at Districts and made his team roster for the State Meet competing in relays. He made the most out of his season, qualifying for finals in both his races at Districts. He had a very exciting 200 Free dropping a second from his best time then turned around and blasted the 50 Free going under 24 seconds for the first time.
