July 18 News
This is your River Falls Swim Blast for the week of July 18-24
Brenda has had the opportunity to reach out to all of you, but if you didn’t see her email, she will be stepping down as the Team Administrator as she looks to pursue some other opportunities. She will still be around the team and her kids will still be swimming, so make sure you thank her for all of her hard work over the last 6 years! (She really likes Hugs!)
I will be reassuming all of the admin pieces for the time being as we explore how we want to move forward as a team. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to me at [email protected] or at my cell 651-755-6825. This will be a change for all of us, but we are excited to continue moving forward as a team and building into the future!
THIS WEEK (July 12-18):
Great Job swimming this weekend in Mankato for Kalea, Brielle, Quinn, Mickey, Connor, Elise, Finn and Megan H!! It was a great meet with a lot of good swims and a great cap off to the summer meet schedule!
Thank you to Loral Benedict, Madisyn Clay and Renee Robinson for helping set up our reverse parade River Falls Days booth! And thank you to Mathew Lesneski, Jennifer and Chris Sell, Jen and Bill Rems, Melissa Slaght, Amy Nadeau, and Chantelle Byram for manning the booth on Friday night! We appreciate you all helping out with the team and appreciate everyone who stopped by to say Hi as well!
NEXT WEEK (July 19-25): Practice as normal throughout the week, except there will be no Dryland training for Senior’s on Wednesday, July 21st this week.
I will be out from July 20-27, taking a trip with my family. I will be accessible via email and phone throughout, so don’t hesitate to reach out if needed. Coach Kaye will be handling the morning practices, and Coach Mikayla will be handling the evening practices while I am gone.
UPCOMING SWIM MEETS/Events:
We have no remaining swim meets for the remainder of the summer.
Our end of season get together is scheduled for Tuesday August 10th at the Hoffman Park shelter. Information is available on the event tab of the website. We hope you can all join us for an evening to celebrate the season!
Mark your Calendars! Our Fall Home meet is scheduled for November 20-21, 2021! We are excited to be planning for our normal swim meet this fall, and excited to get back into a more regular competition schedule this Fall.
Additional meets for the fall will start to be added over the next few weeks.
MISC INFORMATION:
We are looking for someone who has a high lumen projector and speaker that would be willing to set it up during the final week of practice so we can have a team “Movie in the Pool” night. If you have something that you believe would work, please let me know and we can get a time set to do a trial run.
HAPPY SWIMMING!
Michael
