This is your River Falls Swim News for May 23^rd!

We competed in the St. Croix Swim Club Splash Into Summer Invite this past weekend and had some great accomplishments from our swimmers!  There were 14 RFSC swimmers in Apple Valley this weekend.  They achieved 34 new PRs and 10 of the swimmers met new Achievement Time standards.  The meet results for our swimmers are attached.  Great job by all of our swimmers. This week’s Swimmer of the Meet is Ryan Sell.  He achieved a bronze time standard in four events and shaved off a combined total of 46.29 seconds over those four events!  That is an amazing improvement!

May 26: St. Paul Saints Baseball game honoring Minnesota Swimming. Join teams from Minnesota Swimming at CHS Field for a baseball game, all swimmers who attend will get a St. Paul Saints Swim Cap. Information about the event can be found on the team event page.

May 27-28: STAR Memorial Weekend Invite; Highland Park Outdoor Pool (St. Paul, MN). The entry deadline has passed.  Be on the lookout for meet information this week.

June 10-12: Alexandria Summer Invite and Open Water Swim (Alexandria, MN). Meet Information and Event file are coming in the next couple of weeks. We are not doing a block of hotel rooms for the team, but we are recommending to stay at the Hampton Inn and Suites at 2705 S Broadway St., Alexandria, MN, 56308.  We will also plan to do a team dinner event during this meet.  Registration deadline for this meet is Friday, May 27^th.

June 18: Aquajets June Invite (Eden Prairie, MN). Meet Information and event file are posted.  Registration deadline for this meet is Friday, June 3^rd.

June 24-26: MANTAS Summer Invite (Mankato, MN). This is our second Long Course Meter (50m) outdoor pool meet of the summer. A great meet and pool in Mankato MN. Meet Information and event file are uploaded, there was an error in the initial meet file; I have uploaded a new one with corrections.  Registration deadline for this meet is June 10^th.

July 9-10: RFSC Hosted Minnesota Achievement Championships (MAC’s) (River Falls, WI). Home Swim meet and first Championship meet of the summer. Meet information and event file pending. MAC’s entry qualifications: swimmers must have a posted time in the event, but must be slower than the Silver time standard.  Registration deadline for this meet is June 29^th.

July 15-17: MSI Minnesota Regional Championships (MRC’s) (New Hope, MN). Meet information, and event file are all pending. Eligible swimmers are those who have achieved a Silver or Gold time in an event, but slower than a Champ time.  Registration deadline for this meet is July 6^th.

July 21-24: MSI LCM Senior State (Minneapolis, MN).  Swimmers 15 & Over who have achieved Champ times or faster.  Registration deadline for this meet is July 11^th.

July 28-31: MSI 14 & Under LCM State (Rochester, MN).  Swimmers 14 & Under who have achieved Champ times or faster.  Registration deadline for this meet is July 18^th.

August 8: MSI Open Water State Championship (Shady Oak Beach, Minnetonka, MN). Swimmers of any age who have achieved the qualifying times in an open water event.  Registration deadline for this meet is August 1^st.

MISC INFORMATION:

SUMMER SESSION: Summer session runs from June 6^th- August 5^th.  Summer Session registration is currently open until June 7^th.  Summer session will have morning practice and evening practice opportunities.  

• Seniors 7:00AM-9:00AM (Monday-Friday) or 5:00PM-7:00PM (Monday-Thursday)
• Pre-Seniors 7:30AM-9:00AM (Monday-Friday) or 5:00PM-6:30PM (Monday-Thursday)
• Age Group 9:00AM-10:00AM (Monday-Friday) or 5:00PM-6:00PM (Monday-Thursday)
• Novice 6:00PM-7:00PM (Monday-Thursday)
• Novice Transition 6:00PM-6:45PM (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday)

 SUMMER DEVELOPMENTAL: Summer developmental session are offered June 6-July 15^th & July 18-August 26^th. New swimmer evaluation nights are scheduled for Tuesday May 31 & Thursday June 2^nd from 5:00-6:30!   Summer developmental classes will be offered on Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday from either 9:00AM-10:00AM or 5:00PM-7:00PM.  Registration for Summer Developmental lessons will open this Thursday, May 26^th and close on Tuesday, June 7^th.  Share with your family and friends if you would like them to get started with RFSC in the coming sessions!
