COACH’S CORNER

A reminder to families and swimmers, please ensure that your swimmers are out of the locker rooms within 10 minutes of the end of their practice.

For athlete protection and MAAPP rules, parents are NOT allowed in the locker rooms when swimmers are changing. If a swimmer needs assistance, please speak to the lifeguard to get access to a family changing area/bathroom down the hall.

Let’s set some goals! This is an important practice on our swim team! All Silver, Gold, & Senior group swimmers are expected to fill out the goal sheet (attached) and hand it in to coaches by the end of next week (May 1st).  Swimmers in other training groups have the option to complete, but the goal sheet is not required.

Any Waunakee 8th grade girls interested in Waunakee High School Swimming next school year, please see the attachment for the upcoming informational meeting on May 8th.

Inclement Weather Policy: We are coming into spring weather, which brings different types of weather! The pool will be closed for 30 minutes after instances of thunderstorms/lightning. If it looks like storms will continue for longer, we may make the decision to cancel practices. Please keep an eye on your emails during this time for potential last-minute changes.

UP AND COMING

HELP SUPPORT A TEAMMATE IN NEED

Wave Swimmer Sorelle DesRivieres and her family are seeking volunteers to participate in their Meal Train to help support Sorelle.  Friends of Sorelle's and anyone within our Wave community are encouraged to participate to assist her and her family, by signing up to deliver a homemade dinner.

If you are interested in participating please contact Sorelle's mom (Brook) at #715-207-3667 or [email protected] for more information.

ANNUAL TEAM CELEBRATION

It’s That Time Again! Our epic annual team celebration is just around the corner!

Join us on May 18th from 4:00–6:30 PM for an afternoon of fun, food, and fanfare. We’re talking inflatable slides, axe throwing (yes, it’s safe!), and a visit from the legendary Kona Ice truck. Oh, and of course—pizza, snacks, and drinks to keep everyone fueled up.

Any swimmer from the 2024–2025 season is welcome—bring the whole crew (aka your family)!

Important: Please click the link here and fill out the reservation form so we know how many mouths we’re feeding. To clarify, pizza selections in the sign up form are per slice in an effort to gauge how many slices will feed your whole family. This event is BYOB.

Bonus Points: Want to be a hero for the day? We need volunteers to help make the magic happen. If you can spare a little time, sign up for a shift!
