BDSC MAY MANIA - MEET RECAP
Our small, but mighty, group of Wave swimmers traveled to the Rec Plex in Pleasant Prairie this past weekend to compete in their first long course (50M) meet of the season. They had some amazing swims, along with being tremendous cheerleaders for one another! Way to go Wave swimmers!

VAST SPRING FLING - MEET RECAP
With over 40 swimmers attending the Verona meet this past weekend, we had some fantastic swims and even better Wave spirit! We had multiple swimmers compete in their first ever meet, and it was wonderful to see their teammates step-up and help them behind the blocks and make them feel more comfortable overall. Coaches had huge smiles on their faces during the meet!
Swimmer of the Meet: Gianna Caruso, who swam the 500 Free for the first time ever and had a great attitude about it!

CINCINNATI PARA SWIMMING OPEN - MEET RECAP
Wave swimmer Ava Mamat traveled to Cincinnati, Ohio this past weekend (phew, what a weekend of meets!) to compete in a national para swim meet. Ava competed in 7 events, and swam to top 5 swims in EVERY event, along with vastly improving her 50 free time! Way to go Ava, thank you for representing the Waunakee Wave at this meet!
UP AND COMING
ANNUAL TEAM CELEBRATION - THIS SUNDAY 5/18 4:00-6:30P
We are so excited to celebrate our season together! We will gather this Sunday at Peaceful Valley Park in Waunakee (2111 Peaceful Valley Parkway).
Please remember to BYOB and bring your own chairs (BYOC). We will have pizza, snacks, soda and water available, along with Kona Ice, bounce slides, and axe throwing. Get ready for a great time!
And a final call for volunteers!! We still need a few willing parents to help ensure this event is a success for our swimmers & their families. Please consider grabbing a shift or we will draw straws upon arrival.
SUMMER SESSION - ALL DETAILS PUBLISHED
Final details on our Summer Session are now published to our website, including an updated practice schedule, swimmer group assignments (note: you must be logged into your Wave account to access this website tab), and fee details. Our meet schedule, which had already been published, is also on the website for your review. The session runs June 9th to July 21st (6 weeks), with State and ISCA swimmers continuing practice until their final meet of the summer season.
If you currently pay via ACH and wish to continue using this method for summer registration, please contact the Treasurer by 6pm CT Saturday, 5/17. Your account will be charged in advance of registration (inclusive of any current balance).
Evaluations for new summer swimmers are now open, with evaluation slots still available on Tues 5/20. Please share if you know any interested families!

BOARD UPDATE
NEW VICE PRESIDENT
Alana Adamson’s last Wave Board Meeting as our Vice President was last night. She was a tremendous part of our Wave family for many years, serving on the Board these past two years. We cannot thank her enough for all she’s done to advance our team! She will be missed. Hopefully we can convince her to return as a guest announcer at future hosted meets.
Also last night, Brandon Ward was elected as our new Vice President. Congratulations to him, and we are grateful for his service to our team in this expanded role. Brandon’s family has been with the team 3+ years, and he had been serving as an at-large Board member since this past fall.
