SANDY SAYS
A HEARTFELT THANK YOU FROM THE COACHES
We want to take a moment to thank every new and returning Wave family for helping make this summer session such a fantastic one! While several swimmers still have meets ahead, it’s already been an absolute joy to watch our athletes cheer each other on, push themselves, and support one another in becoming the best versions of themselves.
As coaches, we truly value each and every swimmer—and appreciate the unique energy, effort, and spirit they bring to the team. It’s that collective commitment that makes Wave so special.
We hope to see all of you back with us for an exciting and fun-filled fall session!
STATE 13&O MEET
Please join me in wishing Clara Sydow good luck as she represents Wave at the 13&O State Championship meet this coming weekend! We're rooting for you, Clara!
STATE 12&U MEET RECAP
We had 17 AMAZING swimmers representing Wave at the 12&U State Championship meet this past weekend. Braving the heat and humidity on-deck, Wave athletes (and their families from the stands!) rocked the pool with some jaw-dropping swims! Coaches are so proud!
Some great photos from the weekend were shared on our Facebook account. Consider giving us a follow, if you do not already!

WAVE ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING
Sunday, August 17 @ 8:00 PM (location TBD)
You're invited to our Annual Wave Membership Meeting—a key moment for all team families to come together, stay informed, and help shape the future of the Waunakee Wave Swim Team.
Whether you're new to Wave or a longtime member family, this meeting is your opportunity to:
Hear updates from the Board and coaches
Review the team’s progress and financial health
Get a preview of exciting plans for the year ahead
Ask questions, share feedback, and connect with other families
Your voice matters. This is more than a meeting—it’s a chance to be part of the conversation and the community that keeps Wave thriving.
Let’s continue building a fun, supportive, and successful environment for all our swimmers—together. We hope to see you there!
JOIN THE WAVE BOARD – Help Shape Our Team’s Future
Are you passionate about supporting our swimmers and coaches? As a parent-led, community nonprofit, the ongoing success of the Waunakee Wave Swim Team depends on engaged volunteers stepping into leadership roles.
We’re currently seeking 2–3 new Board members to help sustain the strong foundation that has fueled our recent growth and achievements. With two Board officer transitions in the past year, now is a pivotal time to get involved and make an impact.
Board members help shape team strategy, support our coaching staff, and ensure smooth operations—all while staying closely connected to the heart of the team. As a thank-you, Board members also receive a modest discount on swimmer dues.
If you're interested in learning more about Board service with Wave, we’d love to hear from you. Please contact Board President Anthony Caruso at [email protected].
Be part of the team behind the team—your involvement makes a difference. New Board members will be elected as part of our Annual Meeting on August 17th.
