ACCESS TO FAMILY BATHROOMS
As a reminder, parents are NOT allowed in the locker rooms during practice. This is SafeSport rule and USA Swimming policy. The double doors leading to the family bathroom in the High School hallway will be unlocked during our practices.
PRACTICE REMINDERS
-Please make sure your swimmer has all their assigned equipment with them at each practice.
-Locker rooms need to be vacated by swimmers within 10 minutes of practice finishing so that coaches and lifeguards can close the facility on schedule.
ATTENDANCE FORM
Please make sure to complete the attendance form if your swimmer is unable to attend any scheduled practice(s). If you are planning on attending the make up practice held on the following Sunday, be sure to indicate that on the attendance form, as well. This ensures makeup practices can be appropriately planned and staffed.
USA SWIMMING REGISTRATION (PLEASE READ!)
USA SWIMMING BULK REGISTRATION (also posted in FAQs on the Wave site)
Any swimmer who competes in a meet is required to hold an active USA Swimming (USAS) membership. Based on the following criteria, Wave will bulk renew memberships for swimmers, coaches, & officials who:
-Currently hold an active USAS membership, with a 12/31/2025 expiration date
-Reflect “WAUN” (Wave’s team code) in their USAS account
-Are in a Performance Group (Purple, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Senior B, or Senior A)
Members who meet the above criteria will have their accounts renewed by 9/23/2025, and Wave accounts will be charged $90, accordingly. Membership renewals are valid from 9/1/2025-12/31/2026. This renewal timing will ensure everyone is in good-standing for our first meet on 10/4/2025.
TRANSFER SWIMMERS
If you have a transfer swimmer (from another USAS team) and have not yet initiated a transfer within USAS, you should have received a separate email requesting the update be completed by 9/22/2025. If not completed by this date, separate arrangements outside of the bulk renewal will be necessary.
NEW SWIMMERS
If you have a new swimmer, you will need to create a USA Swimming account and register (and independently pay for) your swimmer for this first year (subsequent years will be bulk renewed through Wave). Please use this Wave-unique link to complete the registration with WAUN as the team code: WAVE USAS REGISTRATION LINK. Please register as soon as possible, especially if your swimmer will be participating in the 10/4 swim meet.
DEVELOPMENT GROUP SWIMMERS
If you have a swimmer in Ripples, Breakers, and/or Wave Team Fitness meet participation is not required, and accordingly, your swimmer will not be included in the bulk renewal. However, if you know your swimmer plans to participate in meets and would like to be included in the bulk renewal, please contact the Wave Admin by Monday, 9/22/2025 to be included.
New developmental swimmers are welcome to self-register by using the link above (see “NEW SWIMMERS”, should they anticipate meet participation. Ad-hoc registrations are also possible should your new swimmer choose to participate in future meets.
Note that, we will notify you if you've signed up for a meet but you do not currently have a current registration on file with USAS, however it is easier on all if you stay ahead of this. Swimmers who do not have proper USAS registrations on file 72 hours prior to a scheduled meet will be unable to swim, but still incur meet fees.
NON-FALL SWIMMERS
If your returning swimmer is currently not registered for the Fall Session, but will be returning for the Winter Session (such as HS girls), they will not be included in the bulk renewal unless requested to the Wave Admin. Please email by 9/22/2025 if you'd like us to add your swimmer to the bulk renewal.

NEW NEWS
FALL SOCIAL EVENT - THIS FRIDAY!
Our Fall Social is nearly here! Thank you to all of you who have already RSVP’d for this event! Please RSVP if you have not already, we hope to see you there!
As a reminder: the team social will be on Friday, September 19th from 5-8PM, at Westbridge Park in Waunakee (1040 Kopp Road).
The event will bring Wave swimmers, coaches, and their families for a fun evening of informal activities (soccer, volleyball, yard games, playground, etc.), mingling, and KONA ICE!!
We are keeping things casual for this party, with both food & drinks BYO. So pack a family picnic, or enjoy the food from the “Runnin on Empty” food truck. All guests will be asked to check-in for their all-important Kona Ice ticket, however!

VAST TRICK OR TREAT MEET – DECLARATION DEADLINE 10/5
Our second meet of the session is coming up Sunday, October 26th and is open to all swimmers.
Please “declare” or “decline” your swimmer(s) for the meet no later than Sunday October 5th by 6PM.
