FIRST SWIM MEET Q&A SESSION - MONDAY 9/29, 6:15-7:00PM

If this will be your first USA swim meet—or if you’d just like a refresher—please join us for an informational session with Coach Sandy. She will walk parents through what to expect at a swim meet, how we’d like our swimmers to prepare and conduct themselves, and provide an overview of Wave expectations. This is a great chance to feel more comfortable with the meet process and make sure both swimmers and families are ready. We’ll wrap up with an open Q&A to address any additional questions not covered in the presentation. Location is still being finalized and will be shared soon.

 

ATTENDANCE FORM REMINDER

Please be sure to fill out the attendance form if your swimmer will not be attending practice on a specific date.  Further, if your swimmer will be late to practice, please make sure to contact Coach Sandy ([email protected]) in advance, to determine if it is appropriate to attend the practice.

 

FALL SOCIAL

The Fall Social was a great success! We have a great turn out with swimmers, families and friends gathering at the park. It was so wonderful to see the swimmers having fun together outside of the pool.  A special thanks to all the volunteers that helped plan and execute the event.  

 

NEW NEWS

 

TEAM SHIRT & CAP DISTRIBUTION

All Wave swimmers receive a new team t-shirt and team swim cap annually as part of their registration.  Distribution of our new caps & shirts to ALL SWIMMERS, will occur on-deck on Monday 9/29 and Wednesday 10/1 from 6:30-7:30PM both evenings.  Note: Distribution of other clothing, caps, and gear made through the team store will happen at a later date.

VAST TRICK OR TREAT MEET – DECLARATION DEADLINE 10/5 

Swim meet held at Verona HS on Sunday, October 26th and is open to all swimmers.  Please “declare” or “decline” your swimmer(s) for the meet no later than Sunday October 5th by 6PM.  Full meet information, including event schedules, please visit our Team Events Page and navigate to the specific meet.

 

REMINDERS

 

NO PRACTICE - TUESDAY SEP 30TH & TUESDAY OCT 7TH

Due to a high school swim meet at the pool, there will be no practices these evenings.

 

USA SWIMMING REGISTRATION 

The Team’s bulk USA Swim registration has been processed. If you plan on attending meets in the future and missed out on our bulk registration, you will need to do so individually through the USA Swim website. Information is available in FAQs on the Wave website, in addition to within last week’s newsletter. Please use this Wave-unique link to complete the registration with “WAUN” as the team code: WAVE USAS REGISTRATION LINK.
