POOL DECK BEHAVIOR REMINDER
We have received a few reminders from the pool staff about making sure we are walking on deck (not running), acting appropriately in the locker rooms, and not hanging on the lane lines or swimming on top of them. Please assist coaches by also reminding your swimmers to respect the pool rules.
WAVE FUNDRAISER – THURS, OCTOBER 16 @ RED & WHITE WINEBAR (6–9 PM)
A reminder to join us for a fun evening out at Red & White Winebar’s Old Fashioned Thursday in support of our Wave Swim Team! Tomorrow, Thursday October 16 from 6–9 PM, Red & White Winebar’s Old Fashioned Thursday will feature local celebrity bartenders Fred & Kiya Bachmann of Bachmann Pools & Spas, with all cash tips and 50/50 raffle proceeds benefiting the Wave Swim Team. Enjoy expertly crafted Old Fashioneds, great music, and good company—all while supporting our swimmers and a great local business. Drop your swimmer off at practice that night, then come grab a drink and join the fun! Invite your friends, family, and neighbors—let’s pack the house with the Wave community!

WINTER SESSION DETAILS
Our winter session is right around the corner, starting November 17th and running through February 23rd. Registration opens October 27th for returning families and November 3rd for new families. Meet schedule, practice schedule, and group fees for the winter session have been published to the website. We hope to see your swimmer(s) join us once again!
New swimmer evaluations are scheduled for October 29 and November 1, so please encourage any interested new swimmers & families you may know to sign-up via the Evaluation form (also located on the website under “Join Wave->Registration Details”). Please contact the Admin Team with any questions regarding the evaluation process!
Reminder that all returning swimmers do not need an evaluation. Group assignments for returning swimmers will be published to the website next week.
For families opting for ACH payment, please be reminded ACH is not a payment option during registration. For families wishing to use ACH, please reach out to our Treasurer prior to registration and she will coordinate payment with you.
WAVE FALL CLASSIC HOSTED MEET - CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS
Volunteer signup is now open for this meet and we thank you in advance for your assistance to ensure this meet is successful for our area swimmers! Please note that all shift start and end times currently published are estimates. Actual start times, end times, & durations may be slightly different than the estimates in the signup form, and finalized once the final entries & session timeline are published a few days before the meet.
A reminder that all registered families with swimmers in performance groups are required to provide at least one volunteer shift/day at all hosted meets. Families of our developmental swimmers are also highly encouraged to volunteer! For additional information, please reference the Volunteering page or Team Handbook.

If you’re looking to bring all your friends and family to watch a swim meet this is a great opportunity! There will be NO spectator entry fees.
WAVE FALL CLASSIC MEET – SATURDAY NOVEMBER 15TH, 2025
We will be hosting our Wave Fall Classic Meet on Saturday November 15th at the Waunakee HS Pool. Please prioritize your swimmer’s & family’s attendance at this meet, we hope to have as many swimmers registered as possible! Please declare or decline by 11/5.

REMINDERS
ANNUAL HALLOWEEN COSTUME CONTEST!!
Show your spooky side and send us your Halloween Costume from this year! Coaches will choose the best costume in each training group and winners will get a prize! We are asking for pictures to be submitted by Sunday, November 2nd to be considered. Pictures should be sent to [email protected]. We LOVE seeing them dressed up and creative!
SIMPLY SWIMMING ORDERS ARE IN!
Your swag orders have been delivered and we will be distributing them at the pool tonight, Wednesday (10/15) from 6:45-7:30PM. Please stop by or have your swimmer do so to receive your order. If you missed your chance to order this fall, know another ordering window is coming next month, just in time for the holidays!

You can subscribe to your swimmer’s practice calendar and add it to your personal calendar (such as Google Calendar)! When logged into SportsEngine, navigate to Calendar (under Events & Times) and click on the Practices tab. From the Practices dropdown, select the desired training group(s) then click Subscribe. Copy the link and follow instructions for adding calendars to your personal calendar (ex: in Google Calendar, click on Other Calendars +, From URL, then paste link and update settings and preferences as desired)!
