WELCOME TO WINTER SESSION!

We officially kicked-off the Winter Session this week!  Please take a moment to read Coach Sandy’s Winter Welcome Letter, if you have not already:

BAC HOLIDAY SPLASH MEET - SATURDAY, DEC 6 ONLY

Gold & Senior swimmers will now compete Saturday only, as the host team altered the event schedule. This adjustment also ensures **ALL** swimmers can participate in the Polar Plunge Meet on Sunday.

WATERTOWN POLAR PLUNGE MEET - SUNDAY, DEC 7 (NOW OPEN TO ALL SWIMMERS)

With the BAC meet schedule change, the Polar Plunge Meet is now open to **ALL** Wave swimmers—not just 12&U.  The updated declaration deadline is now November 23rd to ensure all interested families can register.

 

PRACTICE REMINDERS

-Friday, Nov 21: Practice IS ON as scheduled.

-Saturday & Sunday, Nov 22–23: No practices due to the meet.

-Wednesday, Nov 26: Gold & Senior A/B only: Special practice from 12:00–2:00PM. 

-Wednesday, Nov 26: All other groups: No practice, but all swimmers are invited to attend the social event (details below).

- Thursday–Saturday, Nov 27–29: No practices for the Thanksgiving holiday.

 

SPECIAL EVENT — COLLEGE SWIMMER PRACTICE & MEET & GREET

WEDNESDAY, NOV 26 — A CAN’T-MISS EXPERIENCE!

We are thrilled to host several of Coach Jim’s former swimmers, now swimming in college for a special training and mentorship event. This is a unique opportunity for ALL Wave swimmers to learn from athletes who have competed at the next level.

 Why Your Swimmer Should Attend:

  • Watch live demonstrations of high-level drills and technique work

  • Learn what college swimming is really like—training, balance, team culture

  • Get inspired by athletes who were once in their shoes

  • Enjoy pizza, conversation, and photos/autographs with the visiting college swimmers

  • Perfect for swimmers of ALL ages — Ripples through Senior A

Who: All Wave swimmers invited!

  • Gold & Senior swimmers practice from 12:00–1:30PM

  • All other swimmers join on-deck at 1:30PM

Event Schedule:

  • 1:30–2:00PM (Pool Deck): Watch college athletes demonstrate their favorite drills & skills

  • 2:00–3:00PM (HS Cave/Commons): Pizza, conversation, autographs, and photos

Where: Waunakee High School Pool & HS Cave/Commons

➡ ️ Please RSVP for the Wave event in SportsEngine so we can plan food & seating.  We are also looking for several volunteers for setup and clean-up, please consider signing up to assist.

WAVE FALL CLASSIC MEET RECAP

We were truly blown away by the incredible volunteer support at our home meet! So many Wave families stepped in with enthusiasm, flexibility, and teamwork, and it showed. We received fantastic feedback from visiting teams, and our swimmers put up an outstanding set of performances. Thank you all—and congratulations on a great meet!

WINTER SWAG STORE – NOW OPEN! CLOSES 11/23

Our Winter Team Gear & Apparel Store is officially live with brand-new Wave gear perfect for training, holiday gifting, and showing team spirit all season long. Orders close on November 23 to ensure holiday delivery.  The store includes parkas, warm-ups, apparel, and fun stocking stuffers—great options for swimmers, siblings, parents, and grandparents. Ordering is quick and easy through Simply Swimming.   Don’t wait—orders close Sunday night!

Team swimsuits are not available through this storefront, as Simply Swimming recommends swimmers come into their store during regular business hours for same day purchase & delivery.

New swimmers will also receive a team T-shirt and team swim cap as part of their registration, which will be distributed at practice next week.

The Interim Refund Policy remains in place.  Registration refunds, for any reason, are available through Thursday, Nov 20th.
