| Head Coach Jeani Humpe [email protected] Jeani is beginning her 22nd year as a coach with the Wheeling YMCA swim team. This will be her second season as the head coach for our team. She coached our White group for 21 years and is coaching our Blue group this year. Jeani is entering her third season as head coach at Bethany College. Jeani will start her 18th year as head coach at Wheeling Central Catholic High School this year. She was named the 2019-2020 WVSSAC Coach of the Year. She was named OVAC Class 1A-3A Coach of the Year in 2012 for Girls and again in 2014 for the Boys. Jeani likes to spend any spare time she has reading and watching her youngest daughter play softball.

| Assistant Coach Dan Millhouse [email protected] Dan is starting his 13th year as part of the coaching staff with Wheeling YMCA. He currently coaches the Gold and Silver swimmers for our team. Dan was a swimmer for the Wheeling YMCA from 1988 until 1995, qualifying for the Great Lake Zone Invitational on several occasions. Dan then went to swim at Mount Union College, earning all-conference honors in the 100 and 200 butterfly. He was also part of the first Mount Union swim team to win the Ohio Athletic Conference overall title. Dan is entering his third season as the Martins Ferry High School head coach. Each year he has taken several swimmers to Ohio Districts. He also had a swimmer make the consolation finals in two events at the Ohio Division 2 state championship meet. Dan's life away from swimming has him working with students in the Marshall County school district  |
| Assistant Coach Tony Sunseri [email protected] Tony is starting his 12th season on the Wheeling Y coaching staff. Tony is a native of the Pittsburgh area. As an age group swimmer, Tony was a member of a number of Allegheny Mountain Eastern Zone Championship teams. As a high school swimmer, Tony was a WPIAL Champion, Pennsylvania All-State Athlete, and United Swimming Junior Nationals qualifier. Following his high school swimming endeavors, Tony was a scholarship student-athlete for the University of Pittsburgh Men’s Swimming team from 1992-1996. Tony served as the Men’s team captain his senior year, and was a member of the winning Big East Conference Championship team. During his time as a member of the University of Pittsburgh Men’s swimming program Tony was also a qualifier, and competed in, the U.S. Open Championships. Tony formerly served as the head coach for Wheeling YMCA and was responsible for the senior training groups. During such time, Tony developed student-athletes who realized the following:
- 2021 U.S. Olympic Team Trials Qualifier;
- U.S. Open Championship Qualifiers;
- U.S. Junior National Qualifiers;
- United States Swimming Futures Qualifiers;
- U.S. Swimming Eastern Zone Championship Qualifiers;
- Allegheny Mountain Swimming LSC Record Holder;
- U.S. Swimming Scholastic All-American;
- YMCA National Championship - Champion;
- YMCA National Championship - Runner-up;
- YMCA National Championship Qualifiers:
- YMCA Nationals - “A”, “B”, and “C” Finalists
Tony has coached a number of senior level student-athletes who have gone on to compete at Division I, II and III programs. Upon graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, Tony attended law school at Duquesne University from which he secured his Juris Doctrine. Tony has been a practicing litigation attorney in the states of Pennsylvania and West Virginia for over 20 years. .jpg) |
