Best Times / Qualifying Times Explanation
Good Morning! With our first meet under our belt...I thought it would be a great time to share with you how to find your swimmers best times and explain what 'Qualifying Times' means.
To find your swimmers best times:
Open the Sports Engine motion app. (Download this if you don't have it. Login info is the same as our website)

(We are currently waiting for Team Unify to upload out 2026 winter qualifying times into the database. Once this is done..I will send out another email explaining how to use this really cool feature.)
2026 Wyoming Winter Qualifying Times (attached to this email):
Winter Championships require qualifying times. Meaning your swimmer has to meet this standard in at least 1 event...in their age group...to swim at the Championship meet.
The qualifying period is: on or after January 31st, 2025
To determine which age group your swimmer need to swim in at Championships...what is their age on February 27th, 2026.
-Example: If your swimmer turns 11 on January 9th, 2026...they would need to meet the 11/12 year old qualifying time standard for Championships. Even if they achieve a qualifying time in the 9/10 age group...it wouldn't count for Championships. They would have to swim a time listed in the 11/12 age group.
If this is confusing...please don't hesitate to talk to your swimmers coach or a seasoned GST Parent. I will be sending out several emails in the next few months explaining things as we get closer to Championships.
