The Rawlins Rebel Swim Team offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of the Rawlins Rebel Swim Team here to offer age-specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.

Pups (Level 1)

Entry level group.  Skills to master: treading water for 20 seconds, can swim unassisted without stopping 25 freestyle and backstroke. Can side breathe while swimming.

Workout Days/Times: Monday and Wednesday evening from 6:15-7:00

 

Reef Sharks (Level 2)

This is usually a swimmers entry level. Can swim a 25 meter freestyle and backstroke unassisted without stopping. Will learn skills like dolphin and whip kicks and jumping off blocks.

Workout Days/Times: Monday through Thursday evening from 6:15-7:00

 

Tiger Sharks (Level 3)

Must have coach approval to move up to this level.  Must have mastered 50 yard freestyle and back strokes without stopping. Can swim 25 yard dolphin kick.  Has whip kick developed and progressing with it.

In this group, athletes focus on learning the four legal competitive strokes and perfecting the starts and turn technique.

Workout Days/Times: Monday through Thursday evening from 6:00-7:00

 

Great White Sharks (Level 4)

This group is our advanced swimmers.  The typical age for this group is Middle School or High School age.

Athletes entering this group must display a desire to begin swimming on a more committed basis. Competition at swim meets is expected in this group. Training takes precedence over technique work for the first time in the athlete's development. Athletes in this group train for the 200 Individual Medley and 500 Freestyles.

Workout Days/Times: Monday-Thursday from 6:00-7:30 pm
