Official’s Assistance Fund Program

(* Western Zone Senior and Age Group Championship Meets)

This program offers funds to officials who work a minimum of 80% of the meet sessions, provided they are not receiving funds from another source (i.e. their LSC, or the Western Zone) to attend that specific meet. To be eligible, an official must be a USA Swimming Member in good standing within USAS and their Western Zone LSC.

**Funds generated from the meet are shared equally across all officials who have met the session requirements. There is no application necessary. The OTS sessions are provided to the Western Zone Official’s Coordinator by the Team Lead Chief Judge from the respective meet. Officials that have met the requirements shall be notified of their eligibility by the Western Zone Official’s Coordinator after the meet. The information is sent to the Western Zone Treasurer for funding. The funds are sent via ACH to the LSC of the official with a note documenting the amount of funding for each named official. The LSC will make payment to the officials as named. For more information, please contact the Western Zone Official’s Coordinator.

*Note: Each meet is considered separate. The monies collected at each meet stay within that meet to be distributed amongst those that are eligible.

**Note: The purpose is to help defray travel expenses for officials that “travel” to the meet. The maximum amount of this reimbursement would be $1,000.00 per person.

Officials that live in the LSC where the meet is held at (local) and work the required 80% of the sessions, will receive a $100.00 stipend. (Local means that an official can stay at their own home during the meet).
