HOW TO BECOME AN OFFICIAL

- Go to USA Swimming and login. Register YOURSELF.

 - Go to USA Swimming: https://www.usaswimming.org/officials/how-to-become-an-official

Follow these steps:

-Once you have completed the steps, email [email protected] and you will be issued credentials. Be ready to login and show your credentials at every meet you work:

- Go to PNS.org to find swim meets where you can do your minimum of 4 Apprentice Sessions. Keep in mind you must work a meet with relays to fulfill all requirements. Scroll down to upcoming events and find what works for you:

- Select the Meet referee and it will automatically open Outlook so you can send an email to their email address. Email them, stating that you are from the Marlins, are training to be a Stroke and Turn (or other), and ask if you can come for (whichever session you are available).

-Go to https://officials.pns.org/getting-started/training-material/. For Stroke and Turn you will need to print off a Stroke and Turn Developmental Form for each Apprentice Session you work. Bring all of them with you so they can see what you have completed.

- Buy a white collared shirt, blue pants/skort, white socks, all white shoes. Please have the MMSC logo embroidered on your shirt. We generally use Ink it Your Way but you can choose as you wish. We can send you the logo as needed. We will reimburse you for the embroidery.
