Marlins 13th at Age Group Sectionals!

The Mighty Marlins were 13th in a 140 team field but that barely tells the story of this meet.  Bindi Pedersen and Christina Domanowski dominated their age divisions.  Bindi won 5 events and took 2nd in 1 event.  All swims were new Mighty Marlin team records and the 100 Breaststroke, in an amazing clocking of 1:14.63, was an Age Group Sectional Meet Record.  Bindi also set a new PNS Record in the 100 IM clocking an incredible 1:07.13.  On the same day Bindi set the Meet record Christina set a meet record in the 200 Butterfly with a stellar 2:09.75 for the victory.  Christina also won 3 other events at the meet and was 2nd in 2 events.  Jeffrey Lozensky also earned multiple medals with a 2nd in the grueling 1650, and 7ths in both the 200 Butterfly and 500 Freeestlye.  The relay team of Mel Lofton, Leah Taylor, Bindi, and Maggie Delaney scored a 4th in the 200 Medley, as did the mens team of Andrew Winquist, Justin Murrell, Drew Preston, and Colin Willis in the 200 Free Relay.  The men with Robbie Haynes in place of Drew took 8th in the 400 Medley Relay.  Colin Willis also finaled in the 100 Butterfly for 8th.  Abby Magee just missed making finals in the 100 Butterfly as she waited for an opening that never came as an alternate!  Melody Coleman, Rachel Hartmeyer and Karoline Schaufler all placed in the top 20 in individual events in this very strong field!
