May 13, 2011 Parent Meeting

    • Painterman low income, but low expenses as well
    • Swim-a-thon  $100 per swimmer $200 per family
  • Board
    • Looking for volunteers to run for Board Positions in May
    • Five positions are open each year – existing board members may run for re-election
    • At least three board members are not planning to run for re-election
  • Upcoming events
    • Apple Capital Swim Meet
      • Camp next the pool
      • Lots of fun
    • Swim-a –thon June 27
      • Need volunteers to count laps and provide food
      • Letter out shortly
      • Fliers out at the table
    • Summer swim Program
      • High School Prep and Summer swim program
      • Starts June 27
    • Summer dual meets (Who is eligible to swim)
      • July 1, 22 and August 6.
      • Swimmers must not have gold time in the event or any PNS time
    • Pictures June 24th
      • Details will be out shortly
    • Coaches Evaluations out shortly
      • Please provide detailed constructive comments
      • Also please provide name for private consultation to discuss
  • Reminders
    • Volunteer hours
      • 24 hours required by each family
      • Meets  are a great option to get volunteer hours in
      • Signup for any job, we will train
      • Always volunteer for the table
  • Marysville School District
    • Finalizing cost reductions ($3.0MM)
    • Pool appears to be safe, but certainly no capital improvements
    • Next year if the trend continues, we need to show the community the benefits of the pool.
  • NWAC round robin
    •  Dual meets between each of the teams with a championship of the top swimmers Sunday afternoon
    • $30 per swimmer
    • Hotel available so the team and stay together
    • Good chance for bonding as a team
