Young Marlins Dominate Youth Triathlon!

As usual the Mighty Marlin Swimmers were a force at the Clear lake Triathlon.  This year a huge field of 37 girls and 31 boys did the youth event consisting of a 100 yard swim, a 11/2 mile bike ride and a 1/2 mile run!  the Marlin girls took 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 9th in this large group.  Abby Magee was 2nd with a 14:54, Erin Delaney 3rd at 15:02, Melody Coleman 4th at 15:26, Piper Lee 5th at 16:39, and Maggie Delaney was 9th with an 18:33.  For the boys Addison Lee was 17th at 22:25, Keiran Stevens was 23rd at 24:50 and Keigan Stevens was 27th at 29:07.

The older Marlins also did well. Jewel LeValley won the 15-19 year old age group for the 2nd year in a row posting a 1:40:04 on the course consisting of a 1/3 of a mile swim, 14.8 mile bike, and 4 mile run. Rachel Hartmeyer was 2nd in that age group at 1:49:52.  Katy Magee was 6th in her age group posting a 1:41:57.  Michael Lee was 5th with a very fast 1:23:52.

In the team event team K-Schaufler (Karoline, Kirby, and Klayton) took 4th with a fast 1:32:20 clocking, and the team of Jan Coleman, Trevor LeValley, and Miki Clark was close behind in 7th at 1:37:09
