Rimat Wins 200 Back at PNS Champs!
Led by Karlie Rimat the Mighty Marlins made a strong showing at the PNS Champs Meet in Federal Way. Karlie was top 10 in all 8 of her events including a thrilling win in the 200 back. She was also 2nd in the 200 & 400 IM, 4th in the 400 & 800 free and the 100 back, 5th in the 200 breast, and 10th in the 200 free. Maggie Delaney scored in 7 of her 8 events. She was 2nd in the 1500 free, 4th in the 200 fly, 5th in the 400 free, 8th in the 200 free, 11th in the 400 IM, 13th in the 100 fly, and 15th in the 200 IM. Melody Coleman scored in 5 events taking 6th in the 200 breast and 400 IM, 11th in the 100 breast, 13th in the 200 fly, and 14th in the 800 free. Jetlynn Hau, Jeffrey Lozensky, Caitlyn Anderson, and Leah Taylor each scored in 2 events: Jetlynn was 10th in the 50 & 100 breast, Jeffrey was 5th in the 1500 free and 16th in the 400, Caitlyn took 8th in the 200 IM and 16th in the 50 free, and Leah was 13th in the 100 and 200 breast. Marlins had a high percentage of best times and great swims. Swimmers with best times included: Emily Jacobson, Chris Anderson, Erik Anderson, and Josh Christos.
The Relays also performed very well. The 11-12 relay of Jetlynn Hau, Hoylynn Hau, Maggie Delaney, and Isabella Bennett or Mieko Schwartzmiller cracked the top 16 twice and the team of Josh Christos, Jeffrey Lozensky, Chris Anderson and Matt Owen or Nathaniel Goldor just missed the top 16.
