Alumni Swim Meet - Marlin Style Fun!

Alumni Meet is a rollicking Success. Parents, Swimmers, Alumni, and a guest appearance from WEST Swim Team, headed by Andrew Winquist, made the Alumni Swim Meet a huge success. A great part of the meet was the participation, and enthusiasm, by all the people who volunteered to help, on the spur of the moment. The competition was highlighted by dominant performances in the relays by the eight Mighty Alums, who appeared to have not lost a step, as they took off flying, and never looked back. The Marlin Team, with their great depth, won the meet scoring 704 points, while the Alums scored 402 and WEST scored 379.

It was great to see lots of past Marlins enjoying themselves, and putting the young whipper Snappers in their place.

I tried to interview Andrew Winquist, about his experience, on the Thursday after the meet, but he was unavailable because he was too fatigued to get out of bed, or answer the phone.

Thanks to all who stepped up and made the meet a huge success. This could only happen in Marlin Town!
