SBY competes in both USA Swimming meets as well as YMCA competition and is a member of the Southeastern Swimming Local Swimming Committee
Before registering for the swim team, all swimmers must be assessed by an SBY coach. Please contact your branch to schedule an evaluation.

Level 1: $ 52 Member | $ 104 Program Participant
This is our entry level team group that introduces young athletes to the world of competitive swimming! Through the application of drills/skills/repetition of basic swimming fundamentals and race strategies, our swimmers are taught an appreciation of the sport from an early age. Comprised of 2 * 1 hour practices per week.

Level 2: $ 62 Member | $ 124 Program Participant
Introduction to competitive swimming. The athlete must have the ability to demonstrate all four strokes and be comfortable enough under the water to display streamline under the surface. Starts, turns and legal swimming are the focus of this group. Comprised of 3 * 1 hour practices per week.

Level 3: $ 84 Member | $168 Program Participant
Once all four strokes are more natural to the athlete, interval training and repetition are introduced along with reading the pace clock and completing advanced drill work in a highly competitive practice environment. Comprised of 5, 1 hour practices per week.

Junior: $ 104 Member | $208 Program Participant
These athletes are expected to excel in their age group and demonstrate competitiveness in practice and in meets of all sizes. Junior swimmers are required to take responsibility of their focus and work ethic before moving to the Senior Group.

Our Senior swimmers are self-motivated and self-disciplined, they thrive in competitive environments and strive to be a role model in the pool as well as away from the pool.

Registration Notes:
- All new or prospective swimmers must communicate and/or set up an evaluation with their Head Site Coach before registering. This allows SBY's Staff to accurately place your swimmer in the best group for their progress.
- Year Round Swim Team is accompanied by an Annual $60 Registration Fee payable in the Fall (or Winter/Spring if swimmer did not participate in the Fall) which includes team two t-shirts and two team caps.
- Each swimmer will need to submit an annual registration with USA Swimming. After registration we will share a team specific link to register for USA Swimming.
- Monthly dues are scheduled for automatic payment on the 1st of each month
- Swim Team participation may be canceled at anytime with a 2 week written/email notice.
- Swim Meet Fees are separate and billed to the account on file the Friday before the meet. Meet fees are non-refundable.
- *Please note the Minimum Requirement prior to Swim Team participation:
- Tread water for 30 seconds – then comfortably swim the length of the pool unassisted (25 yards) showing the ability to breath to the side.
- Participants 11 and under are required to have a guardian on deck during practice OR have a guardian sign them IN and OUT with Aquatic staff during practice.
- ALL Swim team participants must stop by the front desk before heading to the pool deck. Members must check in and non-members must sign in at the front desk. Both members and non-members should get a wristband before heading out to the pool deck.
