What's the difference between YMCA and USA Swimming?

The Greater Austin YMCA Swim Alliance Swim Team is a dual YMCA/USA swim team. We compete against other YMCA teams in the Greater Austin YMCA Region as well as other USA swim teams in the South Texas LSC. USA Swimming is an additional league that we swim in for those swimmers who choose to participate at USA sanctioned meets. There is an additional expense for athletes to swim in USA meets that is determined by the meet host.

Because of the additional cost and time commitment USA swimming demands, there is NO difference in coaching or practice schedules between YMCA or USA programs offered at our locations.
