Aaron Brown:  We did not have a head coach this summer.  The Manta Rays appreciaate you keeping us going

Julie Bradbury:  Julie took over hearding our Mites this summer and our relays have never been more orgainzed.

Thank you to Melinda Cheatham for taking on the role of Parent Rep this summer.  Our team could not have as successful without your hard work?

 

January 2024

Swimmer(s)

Madelyn Anderson:  Madelyn dropped an average of 3.66 seconds per event at the first swim meet (a 7% average improverment per stroke).  She has been working hard during practices and her decication is paying off!

Kennedy Anderson:   Not to be outdone by her sister Madelyn...Kennedy has been working hard during practice so she gets the most out of every time she is in the water and averaging a 2% improvement per stroke.  The coaches have noticed her efforts!

Coach

Mitch Kirtley:  Mitch has always been a great for our Manta Ray Swimmers, but this month he took over extra coachig shifts.  We thank him for his dedication to our team!

Parent

Melinda Cheatham:  Melinda worked with the Virginia Swim Shop and updated our Team Suits.  She also set up our Fall, Winter, and Summer swimsuit fittings.  Additionally, Melinda has been attending the monthly GRAL board meets to help the Manta Rays prepare for the upcoming summer season.

Volunteer

Chrissy Davis: Huge thanks to Chrissy Davis for jumping in at the last minute to help organize the 9 and older relays at the end of the Patrick Henry meet.   Chrissy helped us all get home earlier.

Swimmers

Mady Winall:  Mady has been a hard working Manta Ray for many years.  We were delighted to see her qualify for summer champs 2023 and put her name on the recored board this year.  Way to go Mady!

Coach

Charlie Bradbury:  Charlie coaches during the Homeschool practice.  The swimmers have grown to trust him and look forward to work with him. We are excited to watch both your swimming and coaching careers.

Parent

Reed Anderson:  Reed has been working as a strokes and turns judge for quite some time, but he stepped things up and was the Referee for our first meet of the seasson.  Thank you Reed, the swimmers appreciate you.

Volunteer

Brandon Dewey:  Brandon volunteered coach at the 5pm-6pm practice and we all benefited from his experience.
