Nunzio Esposto 
Head Coach Duke University and Director of Duke Diving Club|
Hometown:  Butler, PA

Alma Mater:  University of North Carolina, 1991

Nunzio returned to Duke Diving Club in 2011 and joined Duke University as Head Diving Coach in 2013. He recently was part of the staff at the 2016 Olympic games in Rio De Janeiro, where he coached Abby Johnston to a top 12 finish at the Olympic games. He was also named as a coach for the World Championship Team in  Kazan, Russia in July of 2015. 

He previously coached at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill, the North Carolina Aquatic Club-Diving program, and the Blue Devil Diving Club.  He directed former Duke diver and 2012 Olympic bronze medalist Nick McCrory to a spot on the USA Diving Junior National team, as well as to a junior national championship and a silver medal at the Junior World Championships in 2006.  Collegiately, Nunzio guided Nick McCrory to his fourth NCAA title in men’s platform diving and a pair of All-America accolades. Also, Evan Moretti, garnished All- American honors in the 3 meter springboard at the 2016 NCAA championships.

He has also been a part of the USA Diving national team coaching staff on several occasions, including the 2015 Mexico Grand Prix in Leon, Mexico, the 2011 FINA World Series in Dubai, UAE, the 2009 Grand Prix in Bejing, China, the 2006 Junior World Championships in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and the 2005 Junior Pan American Games in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

An 11-time junior nationals finalist during his own diving career, Nunzio earned a scholarship to North Carolina, where he was an All-ACC performer in each of his four seasons. He qualified for the NCAA Zone Diving Championships each year, garnering a trip to the NCAA Championships as a senior in 1991. He was also named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll on three occasions and was the recipient of the Osterneck Award as the team’s unsung hero his final year.

 

   

 

Brandon Robinson
Assistant Coach, Team Coach
Hometown:  Sicklerville, NJ
Alma Mater: West Virginia University, 2010

Brandon graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Coaching Education.  While at WVU, Brandon was a member of the Swimming and Diving Team, where he attended 4 Big East Conference Championships and 2 NCAA Zone Championship Meets.  He helped lead the team to win the Big East title in 2007. During his time in college, Brandon helped coach a number of other sports including swimming, bowling, and basketball while working with the Special Olympics in Morgantown, WV. He was also on the Athletic Honor Roll for 2 consecutive years at WVU. 
 
After college, Brandon pursued his coaching career at Carolina Diving Academy under coach Aaron Hintz in Huntersville, NC.  He was also a volunteer assistant coach for the Diving Team at Davidson College during that time.  While in Huntersville, he learned to coach all levels of divers from lessons, age group, and high school divers to collegiate and masters divers.  Five years later, Brandon moved to the Triangle.  He worked for a year with coach Abel Sanchez in Chapel Hill, NC. There, he was an age group diving coach at NC Diving and a volunteer assistant coach for the UNC collegiate Diving Team. 
 
In January 2017, Brandon took his talents to Durham and began coaching with Duke Diving.  He is happy to continue his passion for coaching and is excited to be learning from and working with such talented coaches and divers.
 

Brent Eichenseer
Assistant Coach, Team Coach

Brent Eichenseer's passion for diving began in Ohio when he was just 8 years old, diving in a summer league. As he grew older, Brent moved to a Junior Olympic dive club, where he dove with Olympian and former Duke diver, Abby Johnston under the tutelage of Olympic Coach Drew Johansen. Brent ended up placing 3rd in the JO Nationals in both the 14-15 and 16-18 age groups.
Brent continued his diving career at Stanford, where he dove varsity for 4 years. During this time, he earned two All-American titles and placed 14th at NCAAs.

Following his time at Stanford, Brent began his professional career, working at Cree/Wolfspeed for 10 years. During this time, Brent continued to stay involved in the diving community. He has been coaching at Duke Dive Club for 2 years and coaches the Prestonwood Country Club team in the summertime. Brent is married to Andrea Eichenseer and their three children (Nathan, Evelyn, and Austin) are all Duke divers.

 
 
   

 

Meg McDaniels

Hometown: Austin, Minnesota
Alma Mater: The University of Alabama, 1991

 

Meg is a graduate of The University of Alabama where she majored in psychology with a minor in human development. Meg also has a master's in education. During her time in college, Meg was a collegiate diver at Alabama where she was an SEC finalist on all 3 boards and an SEC Academic All-American. Meg is a mom to 4 adult children and teaches 5th Grade at Thales Academy.
