Program Fees

1) Annual Registration Fee:  Billed once upon registration for the team and is non-refundable.

2) USA Swimming Registration Fee:

• Required of all swimmers on our team.  Register using the PASA/USA swimming provided link exclusive to PASA.

3) Practice Fees: Practice Fees will only be billed in September, January & May and will include entry into swim meets for the Age Group & Senior Track.  

• Billed only 3 times per year (trimesters)
  •  Sept – Dec; Jan – April; May – July (includes membership with Menlo Mavericks Summer Swim Team)
• Age Group & Senior Tracks includes entry fees to 3 Meet per Trimester (USA Swimming and/or PASA Candy Meets)
• Mighty Minnows includes entry fees to 3 PASA candy Meet per Trimester
• Varsity does not include entry fees for any meets
• Practice Fees by Group, if paid by ACH (online check).  There is an additional CC Process fee added if paying by Credit Card:​

  • Varsity (11+) -      Trimester Fees             $940 ACH                                
    • No Meets Included - May attend meets and pay as you participate.

• Multiple Swimmer Per Family Discounts ​- 20% off practice fees for third athlete. Discount will be applied to the lowest practice fee.
• Suspending Swimmers PASA Membership - For swimmers who may not be able to take part in the swim team for our full 11 month season, you may suspend membership once a year (twice a year for the non-competitive track).
  • An EMAIL needs to be sent to the swimmer's coach and our bookkeeper 15 days in advance of when they want their membership suspended.
  • If a suspension is requested within a trimester, the swimmer will be refunded the balance of their unused trimester dues minus any CC fees and a $25 processing fee. 
  • If a suspension is requested at the conclusion of a trimester, the swimmers will not be charged for the following trimester.
  • If a swimmer wants to rejoin later within the same season, they may do so by emailing the swimmer's coach and our bookkeeper at least 15 days in advance and they must pay the balance of the remaining part of the trimester dues plus a $25 reinstatement fee.
  • Suspensions are generally not allowed for injuries, as an injured swimmer may still participate on the team in other ways - dryland, kicking, pulling, social events, etc. 

4) Meet Fees:                                                                             

• The swimmer’s Trimester dues covers entry into the following meets
  • Age Group & Senior Track – 3 Meets (USA Swimming Meets and/or PASA Candy Meets)
  • Mighty Minnows – 3 PASA Candy Meets.
  • Varsity & High School Seasonal – No Meet entries covered.
  • The Trimester dues does NOT cover entry into meets beyond the above included meets (i.e. travel meets, qualifying meets, senior meets, additional C/B/A Meets, etc.). 
    • Entry into these meets will be an extra charge on a swimmer’s account.
• Coaches will enter swimmers into meets – unless otherwise noted.  
• The cost of meets varies with the level of competition. 
  • On average, entry to USA Swimming meets run $60 per meet.
  • On average entry to PASA Candy Meets runs $40 with the championship meet running $60. 
• Like concert tickets and running races, meet fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. 

5) Social Events:                                                                                               

• Some social events such as dinners, clinics, etc. incur an additional cost.

 6) Team Apparel & Equipment:                                                     

• Each swimmer MUST have their own swim equipment (fins, kickboard, etc).  Each group has different required equipment.  You may order this equipment through the 'Swim Store' link on our website
• PASA team suits, Parkas, bags, etc. are available for purchase through the 'Swim Store' link on our website. 
• All PASA apparel and equipment orders are done with the ‘Swim Store’ link on our website, with PASA-MP receiving a 10% payback on all purchases.

7) Payment Procedures:

• All Swimmers must have an ACH or CC on file on their team account for automatic online payment.
• There is a Late Fee charged for any payment not paid on time. 
• Refunds do not include the Credit Card Processing Fee.

8) Limited BBAF Scholarships Available:

• If you are a full time participant of the PASA - MP swim team and wish to apply for the need based BBAF Scholarship, please contact your coach.  

9) Volunteers:

The PASA-Menlo Park site exists as a partnership between the swimmers, the staff and the families. Both the staff and the athletes rely on the participation of all families in order to run a smooth and successful program.

At swim meets, our trained volunteers help with officiating duties, while other parents with swimmers attending, sign up for timing responsibilities over the course of the day or to transport canopies to and from meet locations to keep the swimmers covered and primed for competition. Family members also volunteer as drivers, chaperones, event organizers and more.

Family participation with our program is not only for the benefit of the athletes, but it is an absolute necessity to the success of our program.
