Riptides Winter Photos Meet

Alex Pasemko

What a weekend filled with racing. We had our last home meet of the year for Novice while Gold swimmers were swimming in JP in Edmonton. For Riptides swimmers it was a jam-packed weekend of personal bests, great swims and Santa! First a huge thank to all those who volunteered, this meet would not have been such a great success without you, this also goes to all the white and red group swimmers who were also volunteering. Timing and marshaling. Thank you to Coach Kim as well for her superb marshaling skills and of course the amazing team photos with Santa!

Novice was fearless in their races, knocking off up to or more than 20 seconds off some of their races. Some swam new events such as the 50 fly an 100IM, challenging events but the outcome was worth it. Some outstanding swims:

Kiara going under 40 for her 50 FR

Skai taking off 16 seconds in his 50 BK

Jonah squeaking under the 1:00 mark for his 50 BR with 59.9

Albie taking a cool 23 seconds off his 50 BK time

North and Tighe for attending their first swim meet. It was such a success!

Well done to all the athletes in the meet. Lets slow things down this week, have some fun holiday themed session and of course celebrate our success on Thursday with the Christmas Party and last day of the 2023 swimming year!
