Jerry Adams Head Coach

Coach Jerry began coaching SSC in 1990. Before being named Head Coach in 1994, Jerry served as an age-group and senior coach. Jerry began his coaching career at Knolls and Leatherstocking Swim Clubs. Jerry coached the Shenendehowa boys for two seasons - and also led the Shen girls team to six Section 2 championships and one NY State Championship in his seven years as Head Coach. Jerry was the 2004 Virgin Islands Olympic Swim Coach at the Athens Olympics. Under Jerry, Shark multiple swimmers have competed at Junior and Senior Nationals, Olympic Trials, and even an Olympics.  Jerry is an active member of USA Swimming, and has served as the Coach Director and Tech-Planning Chair of the Eastern Zone.  He has served on the Adirondack LSC Board for over 25 years.  Jerry swam for The Sharks as an age-grouper.  He swam at and graduated from Shenendehowa High School and Springfield College - and currently lives in Niskayuna with his family.

Lauren Tullock Coach

Coach Lauren has been with the Sharks since 1990 and coaches our Group 3 swimmers at the south site. Lauren graduated from Burnt Hills where she lettered for 5 years on the varsity swim team. She was captain her senior year. While attending Hartwick College, she was a member of the swim team for 1 year and the basketball team for 3 years. Lauren graduated in 1989 with a BA in Biology and Spanish. She and her husband Tim have two children, former Shark Swimmers Madeleine and Calvin and reside in Schenectady.

Rachel Harrison Coach

Coach Rachel started coaching with the Sharks in 2003, coaching for eight years before stepping away.  She returns this year, coaching Group 2 at the South site.  Rachel started swimming with the team in 1989, and went on to swim for Shenendehowa Girls Varsity team and the Sharks throughout high school.  After graduation, she swam all four years of college, graduating from SUNY Geneseo with a bachelor's degree in psychology  While coaching with the Sharks after college, she earned her Masters in School Counseling from The College of Saint Rose.  She has worked as a middle school and high school counselor at Berlin Central School District since 2008.  Rachel currently lives in Clifton Park with her husband and two daughters.
 
Sue Champlin Coach

Coach Sue coaches our Group 1 and Pre-Competitive swimmers at our north site. She was a Sharks coach from 1996 – 2005 and returned to coaching with the Sharks in 2018.  Sue is a former Elementary and Special Education teacher having taught for eighteen years. She has a master’s degree in Special Education from SUNY Albany and a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Slippery Rock University.  While at Slippery Rock she swam competitively for four years as well as played water polo for four years on their nationally ranked women’s team. She graduated from Burnt Hills High School where she was on the swim team for four years. Sue currently lives in Saratoga Springs with her husband and daughter.

Cheryl Marron Coach

Coach Cheryl started coaching at our Skidmore site in the Fall of 2010 and coaches our Bronze swimmers up North. Cheryl's 20-plus-year coaching career includes stints as Head Coach at Amherst (NY) High School, Amherst Swim Club and MOON (Pittsburgh). Cheryl holds degrees from University of Buffalo and Canisius College. Cheryl lives in Saratoga with her husband Thomas and her 4 children.

Alicia Faucett Coach
 
 
 

Coach Alicia started coaching with the Sharks in 2000, after several seasons coaching for the Woodlin Club in the Suburban League. She coached through the 2008 season, and “retired” to focus on her teaching career.  She rejoined the staff in the fall of 2017 and works, primarily, with pre-competitve and group 1 swimmers.

Alicia is a former Shark swimmer and participated in the Suburban League, as well as. on the BH-BL varsity swimming and crew teams. She has spent 2 decades working in aquatics, teaching toddler – adult swim lessons and aquatic fitness in addition to her time coaching.

Alicia earned a BS in education from SUNY Potsdam, an MS in education through the College of St. Rose, and spent 14 years teaching visual arts in the Schenectady City School District.  Alicia is the aquatic director at Mohonasen High School and Head Coach for the Mohon-Schalment women.  She also holds a health coaching certification. Alicia lives in Rotterdam, NY with her family.

Timothy Sinnenberg Coach

Coach Tim started as the Head Age-Group Coach in 1989 and continued in this position for his first 10 years of coaching.  He was a swimming and diving coach for the Woodlin Club and Glen Hills Club for four years at each pool.  He is recently-retired as the principal at Charlton Heights Elementary School in the BH-BL CSD, and is a graduate of BH-BL High School where he was a swimmer and diver for five years.  He has a BA degree in English/Communications from LeMoyne College, a Masters of Science degree in Elementary Education, and a school administration certificate from The College of Saint Rose.  Tim has been inducted into the BH-BL Athletic Hall of Fame, and the Woodlin Club Hall of Fame.  He is also a masters swimmer with a team from the Saratoga YMCA, and he has many Adirondack individual and relay records. His relay swims have earned a Relay All-American Award; and he has been ranked in the top 10 nationally many times. He and his wife, Ellen, have two children, Nick and Matthew, who both swam for the Sharks, and they reside in Burnt Hills.



Jeff Maxwell Coach

Jeff Maxwell has been a competitive swim coach for over 35 years and has been a Head Coach for USA Swimming since 1985. He joined the Sharks Swim Club in the Fall of 2024. He was the Head Coach for the Adirondack Bluefins swim club since 1987. He began his coaching career at the college level with a total of 15 years experience. His college coaching experience includes the Head Coach position at Potsdam State College, University of Buffalo, RPI, and Siena College. As a college coach, Jeff led Potsdam State College and the University of Buffalo to the SUNYAC Conference Championships on four separate occasions. In addition to winning Conference Championships, he was honored with the SUNYAC Coach Of The Year award three times. While coaching at Siena College, he was honored with the MAAC Conference Coach Of The Year award. Jeff has coached 3 qualifiers for Olympic Trials and numerous qualifiers for the Junior and Senior National Championships, the Speedo Series Championships, and the Eastern Zone Championships. In addition to college and competitive club coaching, Jeff coached the Varsity Girls Swim Team for Shaker High School for six years. During that time, numerous swimmers set school records and qualified for High School State Championships. A memorable highlight as a coach was training and assisting an Adirondack Bluefins team member to successfully swim across the English Channel. Jeff currently lives with his family in Latham, NY.

Eric Martell joined the Sharks in the Fall of 2024. He previously coached for the Bluefins in the spring of 2023 after a stint with the Delmar Dolfins Swim Club. He is also assistant coach for the Troy-Averill Park-Columbia Girls Varsity Team and served as Head Coach at the Emma Willard School for 3 years. Eric has coached many athletes to sectional finals, Age Group and Senior Zones, and Region 1’s. Previous to Adirondack, Eric coached for Mercury Aquatics in the Niagara LSC and for his high school team, Wayland-Cohocton. Beyond swimming, Eric is an administrator and teacher at Saint Gregory’s School and lives in Guilderland with his wife.

Emily Caboot joined the Sharks in the Fall of 2024. She began her coaching career coaching for the Bluefins in the Fall of 2021. She the head coach for the Troy-Averill Park-Columbia Girls Varisty team and assistant coach for the Troy-CBA-Columbia Boys Varsity Team. She swam for SUNY Oneonta from 2012-2016 while pursuing a dual major in Adolescent Biology Education and Biology. Originally for Rochester, Emily started her competitive swim career at Gates-Chili High School swimming four years on the varsity team and training year-round for the Greece-Spencerport Marlins Swim Club. During the day, Emily teaches Biology and Horticulture at Averill Park HS. In her free time, she likes to hike, garden, swim, and knit.

Elizabeth Robert is a native of the capital district and graduated from The Sage Colleges in 2016 with a Bachelors degree in Health Sciences. She began working as a lifeguard in 2011 and has been a certified Water Safety Instructor since 2016. Elizabeth began teaching swim lessons in 2014 and started coaching for the Sharks in the fall of 2024. She previously coached the Bluefins since the fall of 2017. Outside of swim team, Elizabeth enjoys being outside, hiking, running, and spending time with her friends and family.
