Jerry Adams Head Coach

Coach Jerry began coaching SSSC in 1991. Before being named Head Coach, Jerry served as an age-group and senior coach. Jerry was the 2004 Virgin Islands Olympic Swim Coach at the Athens Olympics. Jerry began his coaching career at Knolls and Leatherstocking Swim Clubs. Jerry coached the Shenendehowa boys for two seasons - and also led the Shen girls team to six Section 2 championships and one NY State Championship in his seven years as Head Coach. Jerry serves as the Coach Director of the Eastern Zone, and is on the Adirondack LSC Board.  Jerry swam and graduated from Shenendehowa High School and Springfield College - and currently lives in Schenectady.

Lauren Tullock Coach

Coach Lauren has been with the Sharks since 1990 and coaches our Group 3 swimmers at the south site. Lauren graduated from Burnt Hills where she lettered for 5 years on the varsity swim team. She was captain her senior year. While attending Hartwick College, she was a member of the swim team for 1 year and the basketball team for 3 years. Lauren graduated in 1989 with a BA in Biology and Spanish. She and her husband Tim have two children, Madeleine and Calvin (Shark Swimmers) and reside in Schenectady.

Coach Rachel started coaching with the Sharks in 2003, coaching for eight years before stepping away.  She returns this year, coaching Group 2 at the South site.  Rachel started swimming with the team in 1989, and went on to swim for Shenendehowa Girls Varsity team and the Sharks throughout high school.  After graduation, she swam all four years of college, graduating from SUNY Geneseo with a bachelor's degree in psychology  While coaching with the Sharks after college, she earned her Masters in School Counseling from The College of Saint Rose.  She has worked as a middle school and high school counselor at Berlin Central School District since 2008.  Rachel currently lives in Clifton Park with her husband and two daughters.

 
 
 
Sue Champlin Coach

Coach Sue coaches our Group 1 and Pre-Competitive swimmers at our north site. She was a Sharks coach from 1996 – 2005 and returned to coaching with the Sharks in 2018.  Sue is a former Elementary and Special Education teacher having taught for eighteen years. She has a master’s degree in Special Education from SUNY Albany and a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Slippery Rock University.  While at Slippery Rock she swam competitively for four years as well as played water polo for four years on their nationally ranked women’s team. She graduated from Burnt Hills High School where she was on the swim team for four years. Sue currently lives in Saratoga Springs with her husband and daughter.

Cheryl Marron Coach

Coach Cheryl started coaching at our Skidmore site in the Fall of 2010 and coaches our Bronze through Silver swimmers up North. Cheryl's 20-plus-year coaching career includes stints as Head Coach at Amherst (NY) High School, Amherst Swim Club and MOON (Pittsburgh). Cheryl holds degrees from Buffalo and Canisius College. Cheryl lives in Saratoga with her husband Thomas and her 4 children.

John Ferrie Coach

Coach John is working with our North Site Group 2 swimmers.  Johh has been coaching for the Sharks since 2015.  Lives in Middle Grove, NY.  Happily married to Kimberly and parent of 3 children (Drew, Grace and Jillian). Has taught 8th Grade Earth Science for the past 20 years at Gloversville Middle School. Graduated from Hartwick College in 1993 with a BA in Chemistry minor in Biology and a MSED in Reading from St. Bonaventure University in 1995. While at Hartwick College, was a member of the swim team as well as the water polo team. Was captain of the swim team, and part of a team that finished a perfect season 12-0, as well as winning the Upper New York State Championship. For two seasons, 1994&1995, was the Assistant Men's Swimming and Diving coach at St. Bonaventure University (NCAA DI Atlantic 10 conference).  In 1996-1997 coached the men's & women's swim team at Skidmore College - qualifying a swimmer for NCAA Div III Nationals. During the summers between 1993-2005, worked for the National Park Service in Sandy Hook, NJ. Was beach Lieutenant from 2004-2005. In 2002 was National Lifeguard Champion in the American Iron Man in San Diego, CA and in 2003 was National Lifeguard Champion in Surf Rescue in Cape May, NJ. From 2001-2008 coached the Gloversville High School boys varsity swim team. Team won 4 Foot Hills titles.

Alicia Faucett Coach
 
 
 

Coach Alicia started coaching with the Sharks in 2000, after several seasons coaching for the Woodlin Club in the Suburban League. She coached through the 2008 season, and “retired” to focus on her teaching career.  She rejoined the staff in the fall of 2017 and works, primarily, with pre-competitve and group 1 swimmers.

Alicia is a former Shark swimmer and participated in the Suburban League, as well as. on the BH-BL varsity swimming and crew teams. She has spent 2 decades working in aquatics, teaching toddler – adult swim lessons and aquatic fitness in addition to her time coaching.

Alicia earned a BS in education from SUNY Potsdam, an MS in education through the College of St. Rose, and spent 14 years teaching visual arts in the Schenectady City School District.  She also holds a health coaching certification.  Alicia lives in Rotterdam, NY with her family.

Timothy Sinnenberg Coach

 

Coach Tim started as the Head Age-Group Coach in 1989 and continued in this position for his first 10 years of coaching.  He was a swimming and diving coach for the Woodlin Club and Glen Hills Club for four years at each pool.  He is the principal at Charlton Heights Elementary School in the BH-BL CSD, and is a graduate of BH-BL High School where he was a swimmer and diver for five years.  He has a BA degree in English/Communications from LeMoyne College, a Masters of Science degree in Elementary Education, and a school administration certificate from The College of Saint Rose.  Tim has been inducted into the BH-BL Athletic Hall of Fame, and the Woodlin Club Hall of Fame.  He is also a masters swimmer with a team from the Saratoga YMCA, and he has many Adirondack individual and relay records. His relay swims have earned a Relay All-American Award; and he has been ranked in the top 10 nationally many times. He and his wife, Ellen, have two children, Nick and Matthew, who both swam for the Sharks, and they reside in Burnt Hills.
