We are thrilled that you are considering joining our team and would like to share some key details about our program.

CSC is a competitive swim club and a member of the Allegheny Mountain Swimming (AMS) Local Swimming Committee under USA Swimming (USAS). We compete in both the short-course and long-course seasons, and during the summer, we also participate in a local summer league as Team Vandergrift in the AK-Valley League.

Although we are not affiliated with the Kiski High School, we practice at the Kiski Area High School pool during the regular season. Many of our swimmers also participate in the Kiski Area Junior and Senior High School swimming programs, and several top-performing swimmers from those teams are members of CSC.

CSC competes in meets throughout the Pittsburgh area. Some of the locations we frequently visit include Franklin Regional, North Allegheny, Hampton, West Allegheny, Pine Richland, WVU and the Christmas meet held at the University of Pittsburgh. 

Our team has certified coaches who work with three different training groups. Practices are held up to five days per week at Kiski High School. While coaches prefer swimmers attend a minimum of three practices per week, they understand that life outside of swimming is important too! Practice times vary depending on the Kiski Junior and Senior High School swim schedules and the swimmer’s assigned group but typically run in sessions ranging between 5:30 PM and 9:00 PM.

Cavalier Swim Club provides a venue for competitive swimming in accordance with USA Swimming’s rules, regulations, and Safe Sport protocols. We serve Age Group and Senior-level athletes, supporters, affiliates, and the public with respect and care.

We deeply value the swimming community and the staff and volunteers who contribute to it. Our mission is to promote safety, sportsmanship, and excellence, both in swimming and in the broader community, while striving to enhance our team and our sport.
