One-Week Free Trial:

What is the One-Week Free Trial?

The one-week free trial is an evaluation done by the coaching staff to place each swimmer in the appropriate practice level. We start accepting swimmers out of lessons around the age of 4. We use the free trial week to determine if they enjoy the team and can do the required skills. Their skill level is then evaluated. After the trial, we will discuss with you your child’s level and the next steps you should take. Swimmers attending the free trial should be ready to swim with a swimsuit, goggles, and towel.

How do I schedule a One-Week Free Trial?

We offer the one-week free trial at any time during the season. We encourage swimmers to attend as many days during that week as possible so we can accurately evaluate their skill level. To schedule your week, we ask that you contact Monica Nelsen at [email protected].

What swimming strokes does my child need to know to join the team?

To be eligible for our team, a swimmer must be a least four years old during the season, able to complete 25 yards without stopping and able to tread water. A swimmer who can meet the minimum requirements may be asked to demonstrate other skills such as freestyle, backstroke, butterfly or breaststroke, competition turns and starts as part of the tryout process. While these skills are not required, they help us correctly place the swimmers within the right group.
