Introduction

Dive Neptune is for the new and experienced competitive diver to learn and advance their techniques at all levels of dive. We want to make this a great experience for you and your diver.

Dive Neptune is primarily a 1-meter, age group team providing individual and synchronized dive experience. We encourage and prepare competitors for the AIA High School Diving and compete vigorously in USD, AAU and local Recreational diving competitions throughout the dive season.

Dive Neptune takes a break from November through January.  Dive Neptune Registration opens in January for the 2025 Dive year.   Divers are welcome to join the team throughout the dive season.

Coaches

Coach Mark Conte began his diving career as an age group diver at the Olean, NY YMCA. Competed in High School, NCAA and USD Masters Diving.  National Chairman, United States Masters Diving 1981 to 1987 and Deputy Venue Director for the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics Aquatic Venue at USC. He has been associated Springboard Diving for over 5 decades. Coach Conte begins his 14th season with Dive Neptune, coaches Liberty High School and Sunrise Mountain High School in Division 1 as well as preparing Divers from another dozen Westside High Schools for AIA competition through Dive Neptune.  His philosophy…Progress at your own pace and skill level, work hard and, most importantly, have fun!

Associate Coach Sara Plohetski started diving the summer before she started high school after several years of being a gymnast.  She fell in love with diving and never looked back!  In college, she competed with Hope College in Holland, Michigan on the 1 meter and 3 meter springboards.  She was a Top 3 diver in her college conference, competed at the Regional meet and was a CSCAA Scholar All-America Athlete.  Coach Sara coached recreational and middle school divers throughout high school and college.  She is currently a full-time teacher, coaches high school dive and is excited to join the Dive Neptune staff and teach her favorite sport to young athletes!

Assistant Coach Kimber Powell joined the Dive Neptune staff in the Fall of 2024.  Kimber competed in Club Dive for three years, and High School dive for two years.  After two years of assisting and coaching recreational dive, Kimber made the decision to pursue coaching exclusively.  She believes that encouragement is essential to an athlete’s growth and progress and is committed to that end.  Kimber is excited to mentor Dive Neptune members and help them to develop a love for dving!
