By Agatha Leung On April 15th and 16th, Gators attended the PSW Spring Invitational at Grandview Heights Aquatic Centre. Swimmers were excited to race in a new facility to showcase their improvement from their hard work in training. Gators finished strong and achieved 192 new best times this weekend! Swimmers took the time between events to cheer for each other, listen to uplifting music, boost morale, and bond with other swimmers from different groups and clubs. Chena/Gators LMR recap By Agatha Leung, On March 11th and 12th, 56 Gators attended the Chena/Gators LMR at Harry Jerome Recreation Centre. This was the first meet that we hosted this season, and we successfully brought together several other clubs for this two-day meet. There were 593 athletes from 42 swim teams who raced at this meet. On February 12, the Gator Swim Club held its mid-season time trial. The day kicked off with the 200 IM event, where 8 swimmers qualified for the Lower Mainland Regionals (LMR). The rest of the events saw many swimmers setting new personal best times, demonstrating our teams’ constant improvement.
