By Kyle Cheng On June 4/5, we had 43 athletes represent our club at the Lower Mainland Regionals East Championships (LMR East Championships) and had an amazing meet. Over the weekend, our swimmers swam 250 individual events and out of those swims, our swimmers brought back 32 Golds, 25 Silvers, and 25 Bronze with 78 events making top 8!! It was preliminaries and finals meet, so it was long day meet from 7:00am to 7:00pm. Our Swimmers have started to adapt the meet format and well prepared for the meet. By Agatha Leung Gators attended the Winskill Dolphins LMR meet on April 7th and 8th. For higher developmental groups, it was their first time attending an official swim meet, while it was an opportunity to get more qualified divisional and provincial events for the older swimmers. In addition, the hosting club added a “Bellringer Prize” aspect to certain heats, where the winner of that heat received a surprise toy. However, our club did not do as well as the coaches expected with swimmers still trying to adjust to the long course. 2022 Summer Program Registration Overview We are offering two summer programs for our current members and new swimmers this summer. Summer Camp Summer camp is for current competitive groups (LMR qualifiers: Elite, Senior, Age, Junior and Gold).
