Seasonal Swim Team Volunteer Jobs

JV parent representative  - 

  • One or two parents
  • Help the coaches organize the JV meets.
  • Confirm & organize volunteers for JV meets.

Karakung Mini meet coordinator - 

Organize Karakung Mini meet line-up and collect entry fees (coaches submit the final line-up/times).

Relay Carnival Meet Coordinator - Ellie MacDonald

One parent needed to set up the relay carnival, including inviting other teams, securing volunteers for the meet, and arranging to sell t-shirts to commemorate the event.

Social Coordinator - TBD

One or two parents needed to organize pep rallies and ice cream socials.  We have two home meets this year, and the pep rallies are the Friday night before the meet.  Pep rallies can include water games (like sharks and minnows), crafts that generate team spirit, food, or whatever the coordinator can dream up!  In addition, there are two ice cream socials after practice during the regular season to give the kids another chance to hang out and have fun together.

Spirit Wear - Ellie MacDonald

One parent needed to work with vendor for online ordering of BLCC logo items and clothes and communicate to parents how to purchase them.

Banquet Coordinator - TBD

  • Work with coordinator to organize the evening.  Dinner / Sundae station.
  • Decorations, balloons, table set-up, music.

Senior Swimmer Coordinator - TBD

  • Get a list of senior swimmers from the Varsity Rep. with contact information
  • Contact swimmer/ parent for senior bio information. Edit if needed. Give to the varsity announcer on senior day (home). Provide senior list, if needed, for AWAY senior day.
  • Purchase Balloons and flowers for our seniors and a single flower for visiting seniors for our home senior day.  Visiting team senior information will be attainted from the Varsity rep and forwarded.  (Submit receipt to the club).
  • Order Senior Sweatshirt from __________________, swimmers name and “BLCC” embroidered.
  • Gift wrap senior gift (pool water, sweat shirt in a gift bag) in time for the awards banquet.

Swimmer gift coordinator - Marsha Peterson

  • Work with Team Coordinators to order team gift for distribution at banquet.
  • Help distribute gift at awards night.

Team Photo - Ellie MacDonald

  • Schedule photographer for team picture to coordinate with Pasta party night.

  • Hand out order forms to swimmers prior to the photo.
  • Distribute photos at Banquet

Team Photographer(s) - 

  • Take photos of team members/volunteers during swim meets and other team oriented activities.
  • Provide photos to the Banquet Video Volunteer
  • Provide access of all photos to team members (digital)

Banquet Video -

  • Produce end of season video to be presented at Banquet
  • Take pictures/video in conjunction with Team Photographer to be used in video

Fundraising coordinator - TBD

  • Produce end of season video to be presented at Banquet
  • Take pictures/video in conjunction with Team Photographer to be used in video
