Coach Chris Cawthon - Head Coach/Instructor
Coach Cawthon began his coaching career as a football coach at Ingram Tom Moore High School and Ingram Middle School after graduating from Texas Tech University. During his summers he continued his family's tradition of teaching swimming lessons to local children in the Kerrville/West Kerr area.
After starting a family, Coach Cawthon and his wife, Summer, decided to answer a call to ministry. He continued to teach swimming lessons during the summers, while leading children's church and writing worship music year-round.
Eventually, with a small group of families who had taken lessons for a few consecutive summers who wanted to continue lessons, Coach Cawthon formed a year-round swim school program to continue the progress of his summer students. With Coach Cawthon's Swim School underway, a small swim team was also formed and began practicing two days per week.
Three years later, Coach Cawthon's Swim School and C3 Swim have a cumulative enrollment of approximately 200 children, with 4 swimming instructors, and 4 swim team coaches. Coach Cawthon is celebrating his 10th summer season of instructing swimming lessons in 2022.
Coach Cawthon is a USA Swimming Certified Coach and holds a BA in History and Exercise Science from Texas Tech University.
