Junior Olympic Swimmers Place Top 3 at Hermosa Triathlon

Congratulation to Junior Olympic swimmers Peyton Heiden and Sierra MacDonald who placed in the Top 3 at the Hermosa Beach Triathlon on October 5.  Both girls did an outstanding job with Peyton finishing 1st & Sierra finishing 3rd in the girls 14-17 year old division, although they are both only 12 years old. The race included a 1/4 mile ocean swim, 10 mile bike and 3 mile run.  

 

Here are some highlights and stats from the race:

 

-Peyton placed  1st overall in Girls 14-17 year old division & 47th overall out of all females. 

-Sierra placed  3rd overall in Girls 14-17 year old division & 88th overall out of all females. 

-Sierra was the 3rd fastest female swimmer out of 256.

-Peyton was the 4th fastest female swimmer out of 256.
