The next event in the timed finals session was the 50 yard backstroke where Alex Crisera and Roger Brown proved, once again, that hard work pays off.  Alex swam to a 3rd place overall finish with a time of 30.37.  Roger swam to what has been quoted by BCS coaches as “the swim of the meet” (so far).  Roger raced for a first place overall finish with a time of 31.60.  Congratulations Alex and Roger!!!  Fantastic swims!

The 100 yard individual medley was a nerve wrecking race for coaches and parents as they looked on to see who would out touch the competition.  Alex Crisera proved to be the victor for the 11-12 girls as she raced to a first overall finish with a time of 1:05.43 and Kai Scarlet l ed the boys 7-10 with a second place finish and a best time of 1:10.02.  Great swims Alex and Kai!

Beach Cities finished strong in the 50 yard butterfly via Kai Scarlet (1st), Roger Brown (3rd) and Bradley Diaz (6th).  All three boys swam to a best time and their coach is extremely proud of their progress and efforts in the pool.

The timed finals session ended with the 11-12 boys swimming to a 6th place finish in the 200 yard medley.  Congratulations to Caleb Gorman, Vi Hong, Sean Keegan , and Ethan Swim that complete the race in a best time of 2:07.36.  GO BOYS, GO!!

The relay standout of the meet thus far goes to the 7-10 boys 200 yard freestyle A relay!!!  BCS put up a tough fight and locked in the first overall finish with a time of 2:00.07.  Great swim Kai Scarlet, Ryan O'Shaughnessy, Mason McEwen, and Roger Brown!!!  The 7-10 boys 200 yard freestyle B relay swam with the same amount of pride as they finished with a time of 2:09.85 for an eighth place finish.  Great job Brad Diaz, Robert Rogers, Evan Herr, and Matthew Cullen!!!   Your team is so very proud of you!!
