Rebecca Soni Crashes Practice at BCS
Rebecca Soni just announced her retirement from competitive swimming this week and you may wonder what a six-time Olympic medalist may want to do right after such a decision.... visit Beach Cities Swimming, of course!!
Soni is the former world record holder in the 100 meter breaststroke (short and long course) and the 200 meter breaststroke (short and long course), and is the first woman to swim the 200-meter breaststroke in under 2 minutes 20 seconds. As a part of the American team, she currently holds the world record in the 4×100-meter medley relay (short and long course).
Soni took the time out of her new schedule to come "CRASH PRACTICE" at Beach Cities. This operation is part of a new business venture with Ariana Kukors, American competitive swimmer who currently holds the world record in the 200 meter individual medley (long course).
After the practice crash, Soni did her first post-retirement interview about her visit with Beach Cities Swimming to Swimming World Magazine. View that article here!
Thank you REBECCA SONI for coming to Beach Cities Swimming and changing the lives of young swimmers!!
