BCS Sectional Champions!

A HUGE congratulations goes out to our Beach Cities athletes and coaches on taking home the overall Combined Team Championship at this past weekend’s Speedo Sectionals meet in Oceanside!

BCS was actually trailing heading into the final events of the meet, the 400 Freestyle Relays, but our ‘A’ and ‘B’ teams for both the Women and Men put together some amazing swims to amass a whopping 130 points and vault us into the top spot.

This is yet another tremendous accomplishment for our team, and a first in our club’s history!

In addition to the overall title, we also took home first place in the overall Women’s scores, first place in the Medium Division Combined Team scores, first place in the Medium Division Women’s Team scores, and Runner-Up in the Medium Division Men’s Team scores.

An enormous thank you to Robyn Arnold and Aki Gooden for graciously serving as our team chaperones and to Mel Kuo for diligently putting together all our travel arrangements!
