Congratulations to Paul, the swimmer of the month for the Junior Provincial group. Paul recorded some great tactical and technical improvements at the recent Nyac Cup meet at TPASC. He has returned this season with an impressive amount of wisdom and insight and a deep understanding of all the subtle details involved in his swimming. He understands the importance of the small details and has the insight that these details get bigger the higher you ascend in the sport. Paul is a bright analytical thinker and is constantly observing and looking for ways to improve. He always takes responsibility for his actions and is open to criticism and quick to implement any suggestions. Paul does not need others to motivate him. He understands that in competitive swimming everything matters and if you pay attention to details and correct mistakes immediately good things are bound to result. Paul is an excellent teammate, open and supportive of others, kind hearted and has a genuine decency that is always evident. He is really a special young man in so many ways- a product of a strong and highly supportive family. Paul is an excellent swimmer with limitless potential and a young man on a path to a really magical career in the pool.
Congratulations Paul.

Congratulations to Magnus, the swimmer of the month for the Junior Blue group. Magnus is one of the most impressive young swimmers that I have encountered in my coaching career. He has a lengthy list of outstanding personal skills combined with solid athletic ability. When you stop to think of Magnus and the traits that make him a true winner, the first thing that comes to mind is respect. He has a high level of respect for all aspects of the sport- training, teammates, coaches and most importantly himself. He is highly articulate, always humble, one hundred percent engaged at all times, intelligent, and very inquisitive about every aspect of the sport. Each week you can see Magnus move closer to that final and truly the most important step in a swimmer’s development –true ownership of his sport-the place where a coach and supporters become partners in the pursuit of success and leadership comes from within and emerges naturally over the lifespan of a swimming career. Magnus is a great teammate, kind and supportive of others at all times. He is destined to have a long and successful swimming career.
Congratulations Magnus.

Lucas: Over the last month Lucas has discovered how to properly challenge himself in practices, push his teammates, and be pushed by them in turn. His training has experienced a complete level up, where he now is one of the leaders in the group, bringing the overall average of the Jr. White group up. Swimming this year now has the potential to be a great deal more exciting, as he learns to push himself even further.

Ben L: Ben has worked hard through November to show his commitment to swimming, and his results in practice have reflected that. Ben has done a great job of finding the ability to bring himself to the next level, and bring on greater challenges. His work has been noticed by not only coaches, but swimmers in, and above his group, showing that this change has been truly stand-out.

Top Provincial
In November, Top Provincial swimmers focused on how small technical improvements can lead to big gains in their swimming.
Congratulations to Ellie, November’s Top Provincial Swimmer of the Month, for her strong dedication to refining her strokes! From powerful dolphin kicks off the wall, to balanced breathing every three in freestyle, to finding her rhythm in butterfly, Ellie’s focus on detail has been a highlight of her training this month. Her hard work sets a positive example for teammates and demonstrates that both applying corrections and maintaining consistent technique leads to meaningful progress.
