Cornwall Sea Lions Swim Club's Adele Van Loon competed at the Ontario Swimming Championships last month. The championships took place from July 9-13 at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre.

The Cornwall Sea Lions Swim Club had 9 talented swimmers compete Eastern Ontario Regional Championships from June 5-9.

Cornwall Sea Lions swimmers Adele Van Loon and Zachary Milward were named as recipients of the Lions Club Athlete of the Year Awards.

"Our main goal during this last stretch of the season is to help as many swimmers as possible qualify swimmers to gain valuable experience for the regional and provincial championships," explained Arman "This means we are focusing on getting them to peak at the right time, with the right amount of training, rest, and motivation. It's all about making sure they are ready to swim fast and confidently when it matters most."

Swimmers for the Cornwall Sea Lions Swim Club competed at a provincial swim meet in Toronto last month. This event brought together the fastest swimmers from across Ontario.

In February, six Sea Lions swimmers competed at the regional championships. These swimmers were able to gain valuable experience and demonstrated great progress at the meet.

"It was a great learning experience, and we're happy with how the swimmers performed. Right now, we have six swimmers qualified for regionals, and a few others are very close. We're hoping to bring even more to the second regional meet in June," shared Arman, head coach of the Sea Lions.
