OUA Champion is from DUCKS - Ontario University Athletes (OUA)

Last weekend, universities from across Ontario gathered to compete in the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Championship at the Markham Pan Am Centre. Five DUCKS graduates participated in the event:

• Grace Chai – Brock University
• Ava Hilkoitz – University of Waterloo
• Chloe Lau – University of Waterloo
• Nicole Lau – University of Waterloo
• Simon Rasmussen – York University

Building on the foundation they established at DUCKS, each of them continues to grow and excel during their time at university.

Both Grace and Nicole delivered exceptional performances at the Championship. Grace earned 2nd place in both the 100m Breaststroke and 100 Freestyle and played a crucial role in her school's 4x50m medley relay, which took 1st place. Nicole claimed 1st place in the 50m Breaststroke, becoming the OUA champion, and also secured 3rd place in the 100m Breaststroke.  

Additionally, both Grace and Nicole have qualified for the U Sports Championships (All Canadian Universities), which will take place from March 6-8 at the Toronto Athletic Centre - Varsity Pool.
