8 Club Records, 6 medals, and 2 new OSC qualifiers at Ontario Age Groups
This weekend, DUCKS participated in the Ontario Age Groups competition at both the Toronto Pan Am Center and Markham Pan Am Center, competing against some of the best swimmers in the province.
First, I’d like to congratulate all the swimmers who qualified for this competition, especially those who are making their debut at this event.
Here are some of the highlights from our top performers:
Ryan Au
- 100m Backstroke: 2nd place (Club Record broken)
- 200m Backstroke: 2nd place (Club Record broken)
Oscar Parkhomenko
- 200m Individual Medley: 3rd place (Club Record broken)
- 100m Freestyle: 3rd place
- 100m Breaststroke: Club Record broken
- 50m Freestyle: 2nd place (Club Record broken)
Jonathan Helman
- 200m Individual Medley: Club Record broken in Finals
- 100m Backstroke: Club Record broken in Prelims and again in Finals
- 200m Backstroke: Club Record broken in Prelims and again in Finals
Olivia Lau
- 50m Freestyle: 2nd place
Rex Wu
- New Ontario Swimming Championships qualifier, requiring a minimum of 2 qualified events.
- Rex qualified in 200m IM, 400m IM, and 200m Fly after this competition.
Benjamin Zhou
- New Ontario Swimming Championships qualifier, requiring a minimum of 2 qualified events.
- Ben qualified in 100m Fly and 50m Freestyle after this competition.
