GO King and Queen of the Pool- Meet Central
The following is information Regarding the GO Kingfish Pentathlon: October 18, 2025
- Meet Information: - as per Swimming Canada Website
- Questions: all questions must be directed to your respective coach. No one other than a GO staff member may contact meet officials.
- Safety Protocols: All participants are required to follow the Swimming Canada Safety Protocol andSwim Ontario Safety Protocols, as well as the Event Photography/Videography Proceduers and Rules
- Meet format: This is a paperless meet. No printed heat sheets will be available for spectators. Please print your own Meet Program/Heat Sheet for Session #1, or use the Meet Mobile app.
- Parking: Parking map is listed below.
- Transit: we encourage all participants to use our Ottawa public Transit (LRT) which stops in the middle of campus (5 minute walk to pool)
- Meet Reminders: these will be distributed to families attending the meet on Friday October 17 @ 2:00pm.
- No Parents, other than meet officials, are to be on deck during the event - this is an insurance item!
Saturday Morning Schedule: Team Pictures, GO T-Shirt/Caps Pickup, and Warm-Ups
- The pool doors will open at 7:15 a.m.
- All swimmers are to enter through the pool doors, proceed directly to the pool deck, and pick up their new GO T-shirt and GO Cap — helpers will be available to assist.
- After receiving their items, swimmers are to change into their team shirt.
- We will then proceed as groups to the gym across from the pool for a team photo (for the website)
- Following the photo, swimmers will return to the pool and prepare for warm-ups.
- All swimmers must check in with their coach and proceed to their designated lanes for a group warm up
- Meet Starts @ 9:00am
Officials Updates/Reminders:
- Officials are asked to meet in Room 201, Montpetit Hall (Second Floor) at 8:00 a.m.
- The Officials Briefing will begin promptly at 8:15 a.m.
- Safety Marshals are asked to be in position by 7:55 a.m. for Warm-Ups.
- Dress Code: Timers: White shirt with black pants or shorts All other officials: Red shirt with black pants or shorts
- Please wear clean shoes or flip-flops suitable for the pool deck (they may get wet).
