GOOD LUCK to our 13 Swimmers atteding the 2023 Swimming Canada Summer Championships: Aug 1-07, 2023

 

 

 

The following are meet reminders for Swimming  Canada Speedo Summer Championships this coming Week – all updated information can be found on  Swimming Canada:

  • Pre meet training in  TPASC on Monday July 31 is  from 3:30-5:30pm
  • Coach Jason and Coach Simon will be lead coaches at the competition - please contact them for any questions.

 Please:

1. Make sure you have all your Team Gear this weekend-always on unless swimming!

  • Team Caps-have extras--this is a mandatory piece of equipment.
  •  Team Shirts
  •  Other Team Paraphernalia-Stay warm in between events: Including wearing shoes on your feet! 

2. Please arrive 25 minutes early to your scheduled warmups to avoid having to rush!

  •  Please check with your coach prior to leaving the pool for what time you should be back for warm ups each day!
  • We have a warm up and warm down pool - again - please have a plan with your coach each day when to arrive for your scheduled warm up prior to your event -- EACH DAY!

3. Please pack your cooler each session with:

  • Cut Up fruit
  • Bagged cereal
  • Granola Bars
  • Bananas
  • Any other Healthy snacks you like to eat 
  • Use the designated areas for snacks if you are consuming them (Off Deck) – NO food on deck!

4. You MUST always have your water Bottle with you and drinking from it!!

5. Have your goals set for yourself before arriving to the pool to swim!

  • This means you must know what you need to split on the first 50 of a 100, first 100 of a 200, negative split 800......and so on.
  • Know what your breathing patterns are
  • Number of kicks off start and turns------ fast turns/Starts/12.5 Meters and stroke counts!
  • All processes that will help with our desired outcome!    PROCESS = OUTCOME

6. Always check in with your respective coach upon arriving at the competition venue!
